When I install Phoenix, the security suite on my PC (TrendMicro) inform me that an unrecognized software is running (so far so good). The software description is "TODO: <File description>".

It seems that some programmer at Phoenix was cutting corners ;-)

Are you running one of the betas? Betas are by definition unfinished.

I see Consumer Reports rated Trend Micro PC-cillin number one by a big margin. I have been planning to switch to that product.

I have been running Trend Micro Internet Security for a couple of years now. I recently switched to Vista Business and it was the only suite that performed great on Vista. I tried GData (had great reviews) but it caused a major issue on my system. Norton and McAfee are system hogs and all the other suites where not MS Vista certified yet.
