just after i bought an hdx500 :(
anyway the differences are:
1) servo intallataion: i havent time to build my heli but first version seems more robust with push and pull servo linakge. this v2 more like trex se
2) motor mount: first they have an upper motor mount, as they say to move the cg upper, now its back again. and again it will be a pain to install the motor, but before mouting servos it seems possible.
3) battery position: to move cg upper i see they change the battery tray and i suppose the two other holes are for diferent battery tray positons?
and where will i put my receiver, the tray at bottom is very close to motor and probabaly esc, maybe esc can mount under battery tray.
Also note that the servo's are mounted side on, this is never good in a direct linkage arangement.
The servo's rock and flex more like that.
It saves space yes, bit I prefer the push pull of the stock frame.
As noted already, where do they expect you to put your electronics?
I hate spaghetti wiring.....

Hi
For me the servos are ok ! same t-rex 450 ! the wiring is ok ! we can do a good job with the wires !
example
Batery on the tray
ESC under the batt
Motor on the same like t-rex 450
Receiver on the back of the heli near the servos
and gyro on the back
wires same place of the t-rex 450 but more room you can put inside the frame

I agree, if using the HS-85's. They have a single hole. You would have to mount them without the rubbers to hold them down tight enough to reduce the flex. I think the larger servo version would be fine given the size of the heli and the dual screws that hold each side of the servo.
Bummer that I already bought the 85's for mine. Upgrading would require new servo's too.
