You will be fine with AR6200. Because this is a 500 class Heli, you will also need a satellite to go with this receiver.

+2. I'm from the safe than sorry camp here too. But everyone has their own opinion. A lot will depend on rx location, DSMX vs DSM2 and rf noise in the area you fly in and how far away from yourself you fly. The cost of the remote could quickly pay for itself if it prevents you from having a high $$$$ crash.

Just saying.

All true. But I should clarify.. I don't fly with a satellite either.

Though it is a bit of both, in my opinion It is still more fact than opinion.

For example: Look at page 20 (I think), on the Microbeast manual, it says something like "if installing the uBeast on a Heli bigger than 450 use 2 satellites".

I have seen technical posts here on HF explaining why you should use 2 sats/antennas. That they should be in different orientations, away from CF, etc, etc.

It is one of those decision you make that can really go wrong when it does go wrong.

- Go on a road trip with no spair tire?
- Why a second parachute if my trusty one always open?
- Why put the storm shutters up, the rain never hit us hard?

"Shortcuts can be costly, but, if Bruce Waine's parents wouldn't have taken a shortcut there would not be Batman." some Buddha saying...

So, like most of you said better safe than sorry.

Just saying - peace

What! No Batman!

Who will save us from the evil forces that surround us?
