So starting off with my align 22c 2100mah 11.1v I set a time limit of about 5 minutes. At that five minutes the battery goes from about 12.5 volts to 11.3volts. When I put the battery back to charge it takes about 50 min and puts in anywhere from 1000 - 1300 mah back into the pack. As I put more cycles on the battery it seems that it takes longer to charge and less goes in. I'm using a bc-6 on balance mode with a 1680 mah cut off and a 60 min cut off. I did discharge it a little too much one time and took out a little over 1680 mah but other than that nothing bad yet. I was just curious if that sounds normal as it is taking more time to put back in less mah than before. Thanks!

If you are charging at 1C (2.2 amps for your 2200C batt) and you use 80% it would take 80% of 1 hour to recharge at a constant 2.2 amps. If your charger balances ..... it takes longer because it is taking some out to balance. The worse the balance .... the longer it takes, and the more mAh is put back in over the required 80%. If your charger is the type that reduces the charge current as the battery gets closer to full charge .... then that also extends the charging time but does not increase the mAh put back in.
Cheap packs that do not balance well are pretty unpredictable.
As the pack gets broken in, things definitly change along the way and finally stabilize. I keep very detailed records for each battery pack and this is clearly evident for my particular LiPos.

What would be the recommended lowest voltage rating to stop flying with a 3 cell 2200mah, 2070mah 11.1v 25c? If this was already brought up, please point me to the url.
Thanks
You don't want to go below 3.2V per cell (loaded).

hey oakboat89, if you are using the align battery that came with the 450 se v2 kit, don't worry too much. Mine died after 19 cycles. You should find out where to go for a replacement right now.
If you have the v2 kit, then your esc will pulse the motor when you get low volts. I land when it starts pulsing, and hte battery has about 11.1 to 11.2V in it, so you shouldn't drain it to a point where it will be bad for the battery. just make sure you start flying with it fully charged.
hey 0636..I agree with you too..that is minimum! ;)

Thank's, That now gives me an extra min of flying !

Also you cannot use the 80% of 1 hour to charge to figure out the charge time.
Lipos charge at the set amperage only until the voltage gets to 4.2 volts per cell, then they hold that voltage and reduce the charge rate. So there is pretty much a fixed time from when the pack gets to 4.2 volts per cell to fully charged, irregardless of the chrage rate. The only part you modify by the charge rate or the amount of capacity used, is the first part of the charge cycle.
