Yep, the wife has be 'volunTOLD' to be there and fling burgers and dogs. (I'll be in the doghouse now.)
She's got the outhouse setup, and all the trimmings for the cookout are ready to go. Damn, I appreciate her..

We have wind advisories for friday, with diminishing winds on Saturday/ Sunday.
Wind shouldn't be an issue, although gusts may surprise a few new guys.
I've flown my 30 in wind to 30, and gusts to 40, so I'm not grounded.:)

Wind was high, but fun was had!
Mike got some 1 on 1 from Clint, and even got to fly!

All told, there were 6 pilots, and 20+ spectators. Not too bad considering there was 30 MPH wind gusting to 35-40 MPH during the day, at least it dropped off near sunset.
Sunday should be nicer weather wise, if you are going to come, bring stuff to fly!
Banners are up at the field near the road. Call for directions if you need them.
941-807-6036 cell.
Mike and I will be out around 9AM unless someone calls to say they are there, or on the way.
Clint, Craig and Joel, Thank You for coming up Saturday! Your flying has impacted a lot of 'would be' pilots, and those who had no idea what could be done with a heli!

Would love to be there, but will be trying the wind here again today. Hoping it isn't like yesterday. We had the same type wind you had..... not much fun to fly when the gusts are 40mph!!!

I too would have come out but when the wind is enough to collapse a newly framed home, I don't think I'll be putting my toys in the air  :)

Well, other than myself, Mike and Cliff and a drive by from Clint to retrieve the HeliFreak and DuraLite banners, we were it for today.
Meant we had the frequency all day, and burned two gallons through two 30's. Burnt to a crisp, tired too, but it was worth it!
We'd like to do this again this year, but we will welcome anyone passing through to fly at our place.

We tried to come down and gave up fighting the wind by 2 hours into the trip and detoured to Black Sheep. Man the wind was BLOWING!!!!!! :DOH
Sunday the wind in SC-NC was just about as strong as Sat! We did get home safe and sound which we were glad for.
Chances are next time Wayne, you will not have the wind keeping everyone away. :(
Glad to hear you guys had a good time and stayed safe!!

Just glad you made it home safely!
I saw the wind and was hoping you wouldn't try to make it in the camper... It probably would have blown over at the field if it didn't on the way!
Craig got some airborne video of the place, and I can't wait to see it. I know the Spectra got blown around a bit, but a lot less than our 30's did.
I can't wait to get my Fury when Clint comes back from B-ham!!
