Hi dear helifreaks,

About a week ago, my mini Titan fell out at a great hight and he crashed into te grass. The ESC is in front of the helicopter, under the canopy, with the 2 Capacitors sticking out to te front, they ware a bit bend so i bended them back.

But now it seems my helicopter has only half the power it used to have. If i use a good battery that can deliver enough current, at stational rpm, the helicopter falls out and after a few seconds hé starts back to spin. If I use an old battery that deliveres less, the rpm is lower but i can fly around with it, with approxamatly half the power i used to have :S. I dont use ESC battery protection (anymore now).

Now my question is: can it be that one of the 2 capacitors is broken of the ESC, can that explain half the power? Or has it nothing to do with it?

Thanks, djorkaef

It might be the caps...cut away the heat shrink from the ESC and inspect the caps, the 3 wires and your programming.(timing). If not, check the three wires on the motor if even one filament is broken inside the insulator, this will cause some power loss you can check this first by starting the motor with the ESC and if the motor stutters a bit then one of the filament in one of the 3 wires has broken. This commonly happens near the solder joint of the connectors...check there first before opening the ESC.
