Friday if the temp is good, my good friend Nick offered me to fly both machines. I checked with him the set up of the two and with the same engine (OS HYPER), pipe (MP5), Servos (Futaba 9451 all the way), gyro (GY611) and Magnum fuel, he is stating that the K3D is more agressive regarding the cyclic and the tail. Even if the engine on the K3D is 12 flights old and need to be leaned a bit, it is a blast to fly! The adjustments on the mixing arms are in the middle so it can be changed to have even more aggressives flights. Don't know if i'll wait till friday! I was supposed to buy the heli tonight but to clear any doubts in my mind, maybe i should try both...

I already flew a 600E once and it is suppose to give about the same feeling on cyclic as the 600N...

Cool, make sure you post your findings on here after you fly them both.

Well, like i said in the post that was deleted because of the crash of the system...I realy prefer the way behave the K3D! Much more nervous cyclic and tail...so that was my choice and i just bought the heli (already built and tuned by my friend Nick Di Biase). It is also a very solid machine when i inspected the frame parts compare to the 600N. I am now installing my gyro and receiver and will be ready to fly probably friday or saturday (realy busy now...). I am also happy that my LHS WWW.NDHELI.COM will order spare parts and built a kit for the buddybox lessons he is doing with clients. I think i have read that the tubing in the thank should be replaced, i'll check this tonight after work.

yes, you should replace the clunk line, mine was fine, but why take the chance on a failure. Some are coming with a split in the line off of the tank nipple that can spread.

Yes, I had a clunk line fail on my 3D at IRCHA. Found a hole in it at the tank fitting, and my first clue was when the header tank emptied before the main.

Are you sure the knight 3D is better? The 600N pro is like $150 more than the 3D. It must be better!

Please don't start again with which heli is better. I own Trex 450, 600 E and 600 Nitro all fully upgraded. But, this Compass Knight 3D really catch my attention compared to other brands. It sure is one good heli. I hope I can try it sometime.
Btw, Trex and Compass may be not the best heli out there. But they are affordable and fit my budget :)

Thanks Danny and Steve, i'll change the line tonight. I will also put a third bearing bloc as soon as my LHS receive one to replace the top blue bloc that was a little bit damaged. It was installed upside down at the factory and the paint is scratched a bit because of the collar grinding there. I will put that not so clean one just over the main gear. 3 is better than 2!

Having owned the Align 600e and 600N and currently owning the Knight 600E and 3D, I will never look back ! The Knight wins in every aspect - cost, durability, and most of all agility.

I have a trex 600E, but its currently seeing use as a wheel chock to keep my camper from rolling downhill. :):)
j/k they are the same height at the head block, and the K3D is a bit lighter.

Jeremy,
I've had my Knight electric since Dec 07. You flew it at Birmingham while Wayne, Henry, and I watched you put it through it's paces !

Most likely seemed like a dumb question but I couldn't remember if it were nitro or electric.

I like to add something to this post. I mean i am far from a 3D guy at the moment. Doing stable hovers in all standard directions. FFF and somewhat crappy stall turns. But today i did my first flight with the Knight because i had tailwag probs before. Its amazing! I have as well a 600N but this is no compare. It is extreme stable with much lower flightrates and damn that pitchrange and pirorate...howly shit. I did fly for about 3 hours and did not even take out my Rex. To sum all up, even for non 3D Pilots it is a incredible great helicopter. I even felt my self so much confortable with its control that i did my first two rolls. They looked ugly but wow who cares they where done under control!!!! Yeahhh i love my Knight.
The only and only thing is that i live in Switzerland so no local dealer here. But with two helis you can easely order the parts and so i dont really care.
Ohhh and btw i have a govener in the T-Rex only but still my Knight is muuuuuuuch smother but also aggrressive when i like to than my Rex and i get a lot of longer flight time.
Good job, you got me Compass :-)
