Ok just picked up a os 50 hyper and the guy's at the feild said
to do the crank mod and the other saild do the fish eye mod and anouther said to do both mod's what is everyone think !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the guys who do the mods are the same guys you hear b**** about the motors. Mine is bone stock and I love it. BTW I am a YS fan but I love this motor.

Seriously, though, I have a hyper. They run fine stock. The cat eye mod was for a totally different carb on the old 50! They have no idea what they are saying. The new carb fixed all that ... that was the whole point of the hyper hype!
As for the web mod you'd negate your warranty. I've actually heard people putting old unmodified crankshafts back in because they got more vibes after the mod. They are butchering their engines for nil. "But without the mod it fails rear bearings!" <--- they say. OK then why is there a web on every other O.S. engine and they are fine? I don't believe the web mod is worth a %$#.
