Hi,
I am having trouble getting my arizona regulator to work.
The equipment:

DX7
7100 reciever
4xfutaba 9451
GY611 + included servo
2cell thunderpower lipo 2100mah
Arizona regulator

My two cell thunderpower is charged to 4.2vpc, no problems here. With nothing else hooked to the regulator, I get 2 bright blue lights. As I put one gyro lead into the reciever, the light becomes half strength, and the reciever does not power on. As I put the other gyro lead into the reciever, the same light goes completely out. The other light goes out in the same fashion when the gyro leads are plugged into the regulator. The reciever never gets power (the orange light never so much as blinks). I don't think the reciever, gyro or servos are the problem. When the gyro is hooked directly to the reciever, and a 4 cell reciever battery is attached to the reciever, all servos and gyro work fine. The radio binding worked. I am in the process of setting pitch with the reciever battery. I forgot to mention that the pin switch also works just fine. Fromeca tech support is also only open Monday thru Wednesday.

What should I try now?
What do the blue lights on the reciever mean?

Sorry for the long post, but help, I want to fly this weekend!

Thanks,
J

As I remember, input voltage should be 7.4VDC then it will scale down to 5V for the gyro, and an adjustable 5 to 6.00V for the receiver.

Isn't 7.4 (3.7 VPC) the optimal voltage, while 4.2 VPC is the fully charged voltage? I am not sure of the exact terms.

No, input votage has to be at least 7.4VDC for normal operation, you can not use regular receiver battery connect it as power source.

I mispoke. Nominal voltage 7.4, not optimal voltage. I am using the 7.4 volt lipo to power the regulator. Servo/Gyro/Reciever testing has been done by plugging the reciever battery directly into the reciever.

Have you follow the wiring instruction from Fromeco's web site?
GYRO RDDR - Connect to rudder channel on RX. This takes signal from the RX and also provides power (adjustable voltage) to the RX.
GYRO GAIN - Connect to gain channel on RX. Takes signal from RX, also provides power to RX.
Try to use 8-Ball check your votage form regulator Black plug. DO NOT connect BLACK plug from regulator to your receiver.
