Hello,

To excuse my English is not perfect, I live in France

Here I write to you because I have a problem with my regulator GV1 with servo S9402.

I have a helicopter from Miniature Aircraft Spectra-G, therefore on this one I have a GV1 with a special sensor (Gator Stator) for the Zenoah engine of this machine.

My problem is as follows, the regulator does not function correctly since I changed my engine (following a raillure on the cylinder head is the piston), when that I engage my GV1 speed goes up beyond the instruction, for example I ask 1450 trm and the central processing unit of the GV1 indicates “1600 ” the engine thus goes up in the turns I thus cut the GV1 and the order passes by again on the curve of the radio. That I does not include/understand they is the three small square which is posted behind speed instead of marked “TRM” whereas nothing prevents closed carburettor.

Of the beginning I thought that that came from sensor but not since this one gives me the good speed known the unit exchange of the GV1 and the regulator remains automatically.
Then I thought directly of a failure of the GV1 by itself and thus I carried out the test with another GV1 which I had on another machine and idem that does not function.
I also carried out the test to put another servo S9253 but idem.

I thus have the impression that the regulator does not control and yet it is well parameterized for a report/ratio of reduction of 7.15, started by inter radio is the instruction speed radio operator sound good on the GV1

Do you have an idea on this problem and of this indication on the central processing unit of the GV1???

Thank you for your answer

Bonjour,

did you reset the throttle positions after you rebuilt it ? ie the low, middle and high throttle positions ....... every time you change throttle servo or throttle curves , you need to reset those positions in the GV1

Thank you for reply,

I have reset thie GV1 (Middle, hight, stop) with the curve 0,50,100 %. My curve in flight is 0,25,70.

You may need to reverse the wires from the Stator Gator to the engine. Some of the newer Zenoah engines have the black and red wires reversed.

thank you for this answer wecoyote

Look my photo and say me if you reverse into 1 or in 2.

Thank you

Hello,

I tested to reverse the black and red lead on the Stator Gator, but speed is not indicated any more on the GV1. I thus gave wire normally.

Moreover, I gave the coil of the old engine. But always similar, the GV1 does not control.
The GV1 generally goes up to 1600 tr/min for an instruction of 1400 tr/min and posts the value with three small black square square instead of RPM.

How parameterized your curves with a zenoah G231 ?
Me I made the parameter setting of the GV1 with a curve: 0-50-100% ?
I flight in hover with a curve: 0-25-60% ?

Now I am on the sensor sends the good signal well to the GV1, then to your opinion of or comes the problem.

Thank you in advance.

Thierry

Hi pilote theirry

Well since the GV-1 is indicating "1600 ” and here I an thinking of the ,
have you tried to contact Futaba ?

It may not be a malfunction, but it is futaba` product, making the , so they
must have an idear what that indication means.

And there is your problem .... you MUST tell the GV1 the same end points as you have set on your throttle curves , or it will always relate to what its been told .. in your case it thinks 60% = 100% , because thats what you set the throttle stick position to ...
