hey eric..........i know i'm going for sure! never been to a Heli event , and the bug has gotten me good this time. Going to try and take as many photo's as i can and hang out all 3 days ( 2 at least!) A buddy of mine darren brooks fly's there quite a bit and has talked about this for a while. Also...i hope Kenny G is there , haven't seen him in a while but know him pretty good from racing cars with him. heard he's been tearing it up lately. Hope to see a bunch of you HF guys there!!

Jeff, you will really have a blast, it is really a great event. Kind of the end of the summer event for me. The spring fun fly is the beginning of the season as well, you should plan on attending next June. FYI: if you plan on RV'ing it, you will want to arrive early. You can setup a tent anywhere along the runway, but the RV's tent to setup better on the southern half of the runway. Look forward to seeing you there.

Right on that sounds great Eric , and thanks for the info. I will have to drive down every day , which is no biggie. It's about an hour drive , which is nothing compared to driving down to albany 2 times a week when i was racing the MX down there for years. Oh man...i can't wait. I'm going to be bringing some $$$ to in case i run into some deals with guys selling their heli's. I will definetly be heading down for the opening in june as well , i'm getting burned out on flying the planes ( planks) , and need to get into the heli's to keep my intrest going. I'm sure i'll see you on the boards here before the event , and hopefully meet you there sometime during that weekend. fly on!!

See you there, my first visit to this fun fly was just the prior year, now you cant stop me from going, it is a full weekend of RC heli immursion. All of the people who fly there are great people and you can ask for help at any time. The night flying after dusk is also quite the thing to see. Last fall Curtis Youngblood was there, wow what a show, I am sure that the expert flyers that they are bringing in will be just as entertaining. The Drag races are quite fun to watch too. The Trex 600 electric won last fall and this spring. I think Kenny took either first or second.

You are correct, this years fun fly is 12-14. I plan on arriving on the 11th. In the spring fun fly, prime RV space ran out quickly. I expect this to be even bigger.
See you there!
