I have read that warped fans are common and at glance at mine (kit not yet built)showed mine is warped also.
When i just got the fan assembly out and had a closer look i noticed the fan mount connects to the fan by 4 lugs which are threaded. But if you look at the lugs they are not flat. What i mean is if you push the fan onto the fan mount fully the 4 lugs do not touch the flat portion of fan. Then when you insert the screws and tighten them down the fan is pulled up to meet the lugs causing the fan to distort in 4 places.when i mounted mine it was more misshapen after it was mounted to thefan mount.I have tried to explain this as simply as i can but if anyone else as the parts at hand have a look and see what i mean. The part on the fan mount which attaches to the fan should be machined flat for a good fit.I am a heli novice and might be missing a reason for this but it looks wrong to me.

Good point. I mentioned this in my vids too. However my fan was warped in several spots not even bolted to anything. However not bad enough that it couldnt be used. I balanced the unit just to help.

I noticed this, would it be possible to even up the fit with a 4 washers on each each screw between the fan and the ally mount?

I noticed that as well. Also if you look at the corners of the four lugs where they meet the hub, there are small rounds that won't allow the fan to sit completely on the lugs. I chucked my hub in a lathe and machined the lugs flat.
