Hi sorry for the dumb questions but its been a long time since i have bult a half decent nitro heli and i am going for the 600nitro pro so i might aswell go all the way and get the best as i wast the 600n for hard 3dz. Just want to no wat the best servos will be to get and receiver i will be using Futaba GY611 / 9256 servo... Also i herd about you dont need a fast servo for the throttle wat would be the best for a os 50

thanks alot joe

JR Z9000s servos is what I will be using and based on what I have heard about this WOA.... Several folks I know are using them and love them for the speed and power. Additionally some folks running these are using a straigh 8.4V lipo with no reg because the AR7000 RX will support that voltage and so will these servos.

I think Hitec 6965 on cylcic for blinding speed, power, Karbonite gears and a mid range 6635 on throttle would be my picks at present.

Hey Bob, are they using these Z9000s all round for throttle & cyclic? If so then you only need a regulator for the gyro and tail servo correct? Where can we buy some of these servos?

I am going to use them on cyclic only and a 9254 on throttle. Yes the gyro and servo need a reg.

But you know Matt (Ticidytoc) is the person that has been using this setup since the 600n came out so he would be in a much better position to answer your questions. Myself for now until I see some guys run 8.4V longer (I want to see long term reliability myself) I am going to stick with a reg at 6V for now.

was just at the field with Matt, his servos are the 9000's and on 2S lipo they move stupid quick....I have 9451's on 6V in mine and a JR Z8800S on throttle...everything but the gyro can run on 6V in my heli but the gyro I'll keep at 5.1V

9255 not ideal as they MUST be run on 4 cell (5V) to avoid early burn out - you'd be better off with 9252, 9451 or 9350 if you want Futaba on 5 cell (6V)

Hmm, why the 9000, which is a surface servo (JR def) versus the 8717, which is billed as a heli cyclic servo.

Just wondering.

Indeed. Why not the 8717? It has 196 ozin of torque and .05s speed whereas the 9000S is 128/.06 (numbers quoted for 6v). Also the 8717 is cheaper by a bit too. Both JR. Both MG. I'm putting in 8717's next time I upgrade. That and a 8900G on tail with a 7703D gyro. Just need the money first.

Currently, I'm running Futaba 9451's all over cyclic and throttle with a 9254 on tail and 401 gyro.

the 9000's can take a direct 2S lipo voltage, which increases the speed and torque of the servos...I have not seen any numbers on what that is, but I've seen it on 7.4V and it's crazy fast......I personally have the 9451's on mine and that's plenty for what I do...

So the 8717s won't?

Pinecone, the 8717's can also handel 2S lipos direct, so 7.4 volt. I think you should get a regulator for the gyro then ;)

im with mercuriell on this. im actually holding out and putting off the first flight to get 6965's on the cyclic.

speed: 0.08 @ 6v
torque: 111oz @ 6v
karbonite gears
