I saw one of those Zealous turbines for the first time at 3D Masters 2005, there huge.

I was suprised at how nice and simple the rotorhead was. :)

You know, guys and gals, over on the "other" site, last November, I made a prediction that 2005 would bring with it a number of turbine-heli surprises, more choices, more capabilities and, perhaps the first American-made turbine heli. Only three full months into the year and all of the predictions have made themselves very evident (still waiting for my prices to come down prediction to manifest itself, however I think competition will make that happen as a natural process). Y'all may even see something happen from some "unexpected" source later in the year, however the important thing is "choice and competition."

Wolf: i don't think we will see turbines as mainstream. unless the end cost is under 2k they will still be in the hands of a small group. i am on my third turbine now the first one i got second hand and never got to install it in a plane as it took a sh__ on the test bench  my second one is a HP5 which is currently in my H500 and i purchased my third a FTE750 which is now installed in my Saab Gripen.

It's addictive and i am a jet-a junkie :arggg: I am still hoping to get a blackhawk or appache that is 1/4 scale in the near future.

Hope to see you and your Jet Ranger

Me too!!! But I think it will be more like IRCHA before the Long Ranger will be ready to fly...I guess I need to get hot on it! I might be able to at least have it flying at MHA! Maybe not painted though...
