View Full Version : Please talk me out of buying a Mikado !
Hello, i really would love to buy a 500 3D to build over this coming winter. But i just dont think i have the space to fly it safely. I currently fly a 450se at the local park. If someone would take a photo of a 5003D beside a 450 that would be a great help. Here are my two options for flying sites.

Sorry mate. That field is plenty big. Your just gonna have to buy the Logo500 and deal with it. :)

yeah that's more than enough. Might as well go for the 600.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo , Dang dirty apes. The 500 3D seems like a rather large step up from the 450. Shouldn't a 500 be using 450mm size blades ? Using 550mm size blades doesn't make it much smaller then a 600.
its a lot less intimidating than a 600 mahcine though. you will find that if set up softer, its more stable and easier to see than the 450 rex. You should be fine. go on, you know you want to =D

Its as big as a 30 size nitro, its a good bit bigger than a 450 Trex.

its bigger then a 30 size nitro - closer to a 50 size machine or slightly smaller then 50 size heli.
nah its not, 30 size machines use 550 blades, this uses 500-550

All I know is anyone who has a 600 Rex and seen this Logo 500 on 6S gets blown away by its performance and power to weight ratio is superb over the rex.

I think I will get a 500 and convert it to a 600 later if I feel like it. Just one more reason I should get one.

To v-bar or not to v-bar ?? With the rumoured price drop to $700 coming soon it starts to be closing close to being on par with a high end gyro.

Rick, no comparison, seriously. The 500 with 550s is crazy ballistic on 6S, makes my 600 Rex look like a complete tank and I am not kidding you one bit.
