You should be ready to put on the right side frame. The left side frame should look someting like the first pic.
Second pic shows how the right side frame will sit. Last pic shows all the bolts that should be installed at this point.

Next setp is to assemble the motor mount plate.

First the plastic adjusting block. Then the 2 side mounting brackets. The bolts will go through the holes that are recessed so the bolt heads will sit almost flush.

I installed my motor at this point. It is easier to do now than when the mount is in the heli.

Next is the front pully and pinion stack. The lower bearing block that holds the front belt pulley had numbers and an arrow on it. Be sure the arrow is pointing forward and facing up.

Be sure to put the washer below the belt pulley.

Final assembly should look like the last pic. Don't locktite the pinions to the shaft yet. You will adjust them later.

Now mount the left side frame to the heli.

Now install the front belt pully and bearing block. Be sure to put the belt on before you install the pully and bearing block. Install the right side frame.
The bearing block will mount in the lower holes. Once the side frames are installed, you will adjust the pinion and pully so there is no up and down play in the assembly. Locktite the pinion and pulley set screws.

Install the motor next. Line up the pinion so the belt rides in the center of it.
Adjust the belt so it is snug but not too tight.

Up next is the landing gear. The original baseplate can be used if you wish but I am using the X2 setup on mine. The small tray in front can be used for switches, rx packs or whatever you want to put on there.

The next part is a small tray that goes under the main battery packs. I installed it just for refrence. I am not using this on mine.

Next is the main gear. Remove the old maingear.
The new double maingear will be installed in the order shown in the second pic.

When you put the bottom gear on be sure the teeth are lined up before you bolt the two gears together.

Now we can install the maingear, mainshaft and everything on it.
Pinion mesh to maingear should be spot on due to the plates that pre-set the pinion mesh.

Servo installation is next.
The Rudder servo has new spacers provided for it that are diffrent from the old ones.

As you now see the tail servo is in a diffrent location from the old setup. The pushrod will not reach the servo.

A new longer rod and ball link are provided. You will need to cut out the rod from one ond of you pushrod and install the longer one.
I still have another Ion in X1 configuration so I left my pushrod alone and made up a new one to the correct size for the X2.
