hey guys, my dragonus is about to undergo a complete rebuild.....
though, for once it's not because of a crash :YeaBaby:
i am upgrading to the max.... every thing that can be upgraded, will be :happyd

first stop, a fresh shiny new head...
and i am putting thrust bearings in it.. but i have a question, do i leave a normal bearing in the back, then put the washer, then the thrust bearing? or is it the other way around?

It doesn't come with instructions? You should contact a field rep! Oh wait.. That's U! :D

On a 450 SE V2 it's a brass oversized washer. Then the inner race is over sized a little on the feathering. Then the bearing. The outter race is a tight fit on the feathering. They are also labeled in and out too.

Yes on this type of grip the thrust bearing should be on the outside.
Is this a mod you are making or did they come out with thrust bearing kit for the Dragonus?

i am upgrading everything i can (getting lots of upgrades for christmas ;) ) and the bearing have always annoyed me, so i thought i would put in some thrust bearings :)

sorry i didn't fly your 450 again, those interferences that time kind of made me cautious and especially since it wasn't my heli, i wouldn't feel comfortable even taking it up again. you know what your doing and im sure your setup is just fine. try using the 220mm flybar on there as stock now and you should be good :)

I understand on not wanting to take it up again I was shaking when I took it up next. I do usually run the 220mm I thought I was out of them though. I have confidence in my setup but I wanted to see what you thought. One day I will have you throw it around some.

I finally got the Scorpion Rex tuned and flying, haven't pushed it yet, just set a few things. I'll fly it tomorrow and get an idea of how it performs. The Scorpion motor is nothing new but it's new to me.

With all two of my 450s dialed in I can concentrate on the Raptor 90. :smokin:
