YES they do sell a glow in the dark version that comes with a UV LED to make the blades stay glowing.

Nah eflite and E-Sky are the ones you can easily hack. You can go brushless with a powerzone adaptor though! The DF4 4in1 even after it was hacked by the brainiacs wouldn't work right. It mixes another something in with the signal.

Thanks for posting the link to the KB blades, I bought one set of each color and a set for the Raptor 90 too.

Actually, the head and frame stiffeners were a present from Wendy. The metal blade grips were only $99 from Correct, everywhere else I found they wanted $149.95. :shock: I like the Correct ones better too, smooth finish and..well.....smooth...:thumbup:

How does the phasing ring work? I mean adjusting it and so forth?

I won't put any of this stuff on until the heli "needs" the parts replaced,,, it's gonna happen eventually....:oops:

The phasing ring adusts the timing on the head (i.e. eliminating mixing of for and aft cyclic with left and right). Theoretically, the timing should be set at neutral (i.e. not advanced or retarded) if the head on the helicopter is providing exact 90 degree precession. In practice, it appears that one does not always get exact 90 degree precession.

The effects of timing can be easily seen when performing axial rolls.

The flattest rolling helicopter I own is the TREX 600E. It is a reasonaby early version, with a plastic washout base. The timing on this machine is fixed and retarded by about five degrees. This is the only 600E I have seen, out of five or so, that has retarded timing.

My Knight 50 Pro always popped the nose up when rolling through inverted, requiring a correction with "Up" elevator as the ship passed through inverted.

Both models are set up with the JR10X radio, have no CCPM interactions, and are properly balanced from a CG standpoint.

The timing on the Knight Pro is adjustable, so I retarded it to match the timing on the 600E.

The Knight now rolls very nicely and very flat.

I made the change to the Knight 3D with similar results.

I am going to convert the main rotor hub on the Raptor 50 to the metal version, so that I can play with the timing adjustment as well (it noses up slightly when inverted as well).

The basin today wasnt that bad. A little windy but that never hurts. Got some inverted hovering practice today though. It feels good to have 4 batteries to fly on. Some guy was there with his swift 16. Almost totaled it in a bad auto.

Airboss: Trooper sam has one, ask him how he likes it. I downloaded one for Phoenix flight sim, it's different. They don't have a Raptor 90 for Phoenix. :(

I need to put some hours/tanks on the Raptor so I can tune for more power, I want more pitch too. POP! :thumbup:

But then again, it still is new to me and I need LOTS of practice.

I got it too. It's very realistic. The only thing I find though is that funnels don't really behave like they do in real life.
