Well, anyone fly these things? maybe get together and fly this weekend;?
The HackeRex is working fine with the Otter esc and hobbywing bec for 6v, it had an Airtronics on the tail but it pumps the tail when flying sideways (kinda like searching but slower) so I put the 9650 back on.
The Scorpion Rex is up and flying like it's supposed to, the esc I had was bad, lucky I guess. :lol: When I go to idle up it's really hard to tell any change in rpm until you switch back down to normal mode, then you notice. No complaints. I have an extra CC 35 amp all soldered up but I'm not going to replace the HackeRex esc until I have a reason to. Scorpion seems like it has plenty of power but I haven't really tested it very much, just got it working right.
Both Trex's have HS65MGs and I was thinking about trying some HS81MGs, super fast and lots O power. Anyone tried them?
The Raptor just needs to be flown so it gets broke in. The manual says you can go for it after only a few tanks, yes, "tanks" not gallons, I'm going to go cautious with the fuel mixture but loading the engine doesn't bother me, in fact I would preffer to load it as oftern as possible during break in to seat the rings. Manual says 16k rpms is max, is this true? The throttle Jockey is really easy to set up and info is readily available.
What temps do Nitro engines usually run? 91 C spec to be specific,,,,,,,I gotta call my buddy and ask him, he makes these motors with his CNC machine

Where is the place to meet this Sunday? Sunland, The Basin, Whittier Narrows, ?
My first choice is always Sunland, second Whittier, and......I like The Narrows better because there is usually less wind, Sunland just because it's a private field but if nobody else is there it is kinda boring.
No need for the key, got my Dodge 4X4 back on the road. :YeaBaby: Sure like my Dodge shorty!

A Vigor ain't a Vibe, anyway. The Vibe design is based on the Vigor, but incorporates many improvements.
A number of the Vigor parts are starting to be hard to get.

I want to put lights on my Trex450, I already have the main blades
and a clear canopy. What light strings and power supply? The align power supply can't handle 11.1v input......
What do you guys use? I don't want to use another battery, can I use an align voltage step down for it?

Just use a tiny 2S lipo, that'll work great. I actually use a 9V alkaline with no troubles.

2 light strings and the Align transformer burn very little current! I have a tiny 150ma 2s lipo and plugged int he lights and let them run for 3 hours. The pack took back 25ma!!!!
So if you want to you could make up a connector to your main pack balance tap and steal power from 2 of the cells.

This is how I do it. :YeaBaby: No extra battery or weight and power draw is not detectable on 6 min flight.

where is the flying going to be, may stop on buy in the afternoon tomorrow at the basin around noon. took some time away and have been flying at a different secluded field with just my bud tim jones. put in about 15 flights on the 600n flying different blades, paddles, radio setups. thanks to my bud tim for loaning me some pretty crazy stuff.

Shawn: what do you need help with? I just got done doing mine and it's not really that hard. Go to the links I posted and it will answer a lot of your questions. Mounting it on the 600 is the hardest part. Find some way to fasten it to the heli and from there it's all down hill, no worrys. :smokin:

Hey guys you missed it,, i was flying the rex today and lost power inverted, instead of rolling out i landed the darn thing on the rotors looked cool only broke 2 links and little bend in flybar.. wont be doing this again soon.heli gods were looking out for me cause the Vblades werent even scratched.

Dave's crew was landing inverted at the last FunFly. They did it over and over again. Landed on the blades and paddles perfectly upside down. They were bending their flybars straight a little but other then that nothing.
Tried to get Vic to HD it but he wasn't as impressed. lol
