I think you could run all of the fuel out of the C-Spec's pump by pulling the fuel line from the pump to the carb and cranking the engine. That way, you can leave the trace amount of fuel and oil in the engine.

Be prepared for wind!
Sorry you couldn't make it today Jason. Mitch and I had the place to ourselves :smokin: Little to no wind and low sun at our backs all day! Flew 13 packs today in the various toys.:YeaBaby: All the equipment worked flawlessly:thumbup: and as Mitch said, no crashes:happyd
Mitch's 90 was flying great and his skills are improving rapidly.
I know many are busy with holiday distractions, but hopefully we can improve the clubs communication/planning for flying in the coming year.

High Santa Ana Winds predicted tomorrow....
So you know if that happens and you all get blown out, 90% of the time there are Santa Ana winds they DON'T reach Carson field. Dead calm there usually when Stana Ana's have everywhere else blown out!

hopefully it wont be windy and if it is, time to find another location. i hear there was no wind at the basin today, but i could be wrong. i may not even fly tomorrow if its windy, no use to crash a machine or fight the wind.

Friggin wind is already here. Just got 12T on my Scorpion motor too, thought I had 12 but was running 11. Ah well going to play with the r/c car then.
I hope the wind is gone tomorrow. I didn't get to play enough with my new bird yet only broke the skids so far.

Hey Paddy, its 08 for u already isn't it. Happy New Year.
I'm not getting that many heli's in 08. Only heli I really want is the Trex 500. Nothing else really lights my fire. Though, I might play around with a secret little 350mm long heli that is the same size as the Gaui 200, but is more stable. No 90 size Nitro for me untill I master the Knight 50 3D.
Winds gotta stop. I want to fly.

there was no wind at Whittier narrows.
It was a rough day for me none the less, on the Scorpions first flight I noticed I was losing control of the tail and was trying to get it set down and I lost all control of the heli. The esc worked fine all yesterday (3 flights) and then today it let me down, destroyed that Trex, broke the gyro case into a million pieces, just destroyed it...faaaakkk. :arggg::arggg::arggg:
Might of been the bec or rx?
I'm going to switch to the CC esc and send back both of the ESCs, I don't know what the deal is with the Scorpion esc? I DO know the scorpion esc will NOT go back on any of my heli's, EVER! I love the motor on 13t pinion but the esc has let me down twice and this time it destroyed damn near everything.
the Hacker had a couple issues with the tail, plugs weren't making contact where it plugs into the receiver, this is of course after I crashed it, I lost orientation and hit throttle hold and auto-ed in upside down, all it did was bend the flybar but when I was picking it up some guy hit me with his sail plane, , faaaakkkkkeeennnnn asshole! I was pissed, really pissed, I thought about accidently stepping back on it,,,,,I should of, damn I was pissed! So after that and the tail issues I got it flying again, probably had a bent feathering spindle, I didn't care and flew it anyways and then one of the linkage rods came out of the ball link and I burned that one in again. Then some dumbazz that just got his christmas heli almost hit me with that. FAAAAKKKKK While I was flying my 90.....damn, things weren't going my way. And that was after I forgot to hit the idle up switch while I was hovering upside down with the 90, crap, I flipped it back over and landed it ok, took me a while to figure out what happened.
I had the 90 all ready to go for one more flight and I had just got done crashing the Hacker I figured I better call it a day and take my 90 home in one piece. I had the starter collar come loose and had to fix that before I could fly it.
The 90 flew awesome and as usual got everyones attention when I was flying, she's a big bird!
CRAP! What a day. :smokin: <-------what I should be doing...
