On the heli that is damn near destoyed how high were you up Mitch? Man I can't believe it's nuked. Would it just not turn off? Man that's hard to hear brother that hurts me to know. Also no one called out to look out and the sail plane just hit you? That's not cool and yeah he is lucky you didn't step back.

Mike: I hit throttle hold probably too late, the headspeed should be 3330 so that is why everything got destroyed. It will be my new favorite Trex again once I get the CC esc on it. It was only about 10 feet up.

I don't think I have enough parts to put it back together tonight? Fresh outta carbon fiber tail booms....may have an aluminum one laying around? I'll use that since this thing doesn't deserve any of the good stuff because it's been destroying everything I put on it, canopy is destroyed too.

Yep, and I've run a bec on every Trex I've owned and never had a problem with an esc doing this. I'm using an Otter 35 on the Hacker with a bec and no problems there either.

So far I've used the Align esc without a problem, the Hacker esc without a problem and the Otter without a problem. You tell me, what's the deal? Is it the esc or the bec?

I wouldn't be surprised to hear you report back that you had another lock out.

Well, running a seperate regulator should take the esc out of the picture.

I'll try running it without the bec and see what happens. Maybe I just have a bad esc or receiver?

I need to get some work done around the house but I'll likely be flying at the Narrows again tomorrow.

I really like the 90!

Getting it built wasn't my idea of fun but flying it IS.

Just got the Neu 1107/1.57/3.2H today and now my heli is a monster!!!!:thumbup::YeaBaby::YeaBaby::happyd 12t pinion and 80% throttle in idle up.

In governor mode? If not in governor mode you need to get it up to or near 100%. If the headspeed is too much gear down a tooth.

It was a rough day for me none the less, on the Scorpions first flight I noticed I was losing control of the tail and was trying to get it set down and I lost all control of the heli. The esc worked fine all yesterday (3 flights) and then today it let me down, destroyed that Trex, broke the gyro case into a million pieces, just destroyed it...faaaakkk.:mad: :arggg::arggg::arggg:

I'm going to switch to the CC esc and send back both of the ESCs, I don't know what the deal is with the Scorpion esc? I DO know the scorpion esc will NOT go back on any of my heli's, EVER! I love the motor on 13t pinion but the esc has let me down twice and this time it destroyed damn near everything.

the Hacker had a couple issues with the tail, plugs weren't making contact where it plugs into the receiver,this is of course after I crashed it, I lost orientation and hit throttle hold and auto-ed in upside down, all it did was bend the flybar but when I was picking it up some guy hit me with his sail plane, , faaaakkkkkeeennnnn asshole! I was pissed, really pissed, I thought about accidently stepping back on it,,,,,I should of, damn I was pissed! :mad: So after that and the tail issues I got it flying again, probably had a bent feathering spindle, I didn't care and flew it anyways and then one of the linkage rods came out of the ball link and I burned that one in again. Then some dumbazz that just got his christmas heli almost hit me with that. FAAAAKKKKK While I was flying my 90.....damn, things weren't going my way. I had the 90 all ready to go for one more flight and I had just got done crashing the Hacker I figured I better call it a day and take my 90 home in one piece. I had the starter collar come loose and had to fix that before I could fly it.

The 90 flew awesome and as usual got everyones attention when I was flying, she's a big bird!

Dang Mitch that sux:thumbdown: I haven't flown in a while. I should have my 600 ready by Thursday. Did a bunch of maintenance on it so hopefully I won't have any more issues:roll:

Some day I'm gonna do it, sell off one of the sets of 65s I've got since I'll never ruin one, or at least I doubt it, they seem bullet proof.

The 81s are faster and more torque and are cheaper.

I gotta do it. Especially since my Raptor 90 has a faster cyclic rate than my 450, the 90 flips on a dime and gives change with the 8717s. I was amazed at how fast the roll rate is, I thought it would be slower and it's not.

Yeah I was going to suggest trying to open it a little that's why I posted the sizes so you could see how close. You have to make sure you will get a direct shot to the swash balls at the right mm out on the horn though. Not a lot of meat on the front servo mounts to play with. Not sure if this has been done.
