Yeah it was very little rain. First wind then that was gone then rain off and on. Then we sat around well after dark talking. I left Bert and Victor there talking still. That was a great day. I actually did my first inverted hover that day but I was alone and it was in the morning. I crashed when I went to land too because I was so excited. Hit thold to land and promptly slammed it to the ground skids first. That was one of 5 crashes that day lol

If the Basin wasn't so far from my house I might go there more often, as it is, Whittier Narrows is the closest place for me.
The Scorpion crash took out the gyro. faaak! No sense in even messing with it until I get a new gyro for it, anyone got a good spare they want to sell? That sucks too because I was really enjoying the power of the Scorpion motor, maybe I'll take the parts off the Hacker and mothball the Hacker? Can't really afford a new gyro at full pop.

Maybe this will be another one of those biggies that filled up the basin with water in the mid 90's. Never thought I would see a boat traveling on Burbank Blvd.

Well, finally got my 600n working. . . sorta. I got the screw I needed for the carb finally and a few other thing. So I went home plugged it in and everything was working. Then I realized that I forgot to charge the rx battery(doh!) and the motor was hydrolocked(that how you spell it?) so I figured I'd just save it for tomorrow. Oh well:roll:

Got a some SICK, SICK vidz guys of Jason flying his new proto-type Scorpion motor that is just insane. He was flying sooo fast, I could barily keep the camera up, and at times, lost him as it was just too balistic. He also tested out the Mars 480 and got radical 3D with it. I also got did some basic flips on the Mars 480. Flies really smooth and easy to control.
Stay tune for vids to come!! :)

Did you get any data from the flight? Any improvement over the 2221-6?

Excellent work vic, and nice flying, as always Jason. Maybe you can let everyone know some of the small changes Georges has done?

Thanks John. I have the Scorpion HK2221-6 and all I can say is that his newer version Jason has is supreme. We didn't get a chance to get any data as we rushed to film as the day was getting dark. I think Jason says the batteries run cooler with this new motor. When we ran my motor on my Mini-Titan, temps on the battery were almost 150 degree's killing the packs, so this newer version should eliminate those extreme temps that can kill the packs.

Guys, I feel really stupid when I say this but here it goes. . . The reason why I couldn't start my 600 yesterday is because I left the muffler plug on:DOH

"The reason why I couldn't start my 600 yesterday is because I left the muffler plug on."
The old "potatoe in the exhaust pipe" trick.
(either the car won't start, or you end up with a rocket propelled potatoe...).
I would not worry about it. We all (at least I do) things like that sometimes.
Better that than something serious.

I can definitely see the extra weight in that video. Certainly not as nimble as a 450. I think you can bump the headspeed up a little more.

Left the muffler plug in? Been there, done that. :)
