I don't like crashing, but it gave me an opportunity to change things. Here's a pic of my new canopy
Are your rotors really clear or it that an illusion?

hey johnny what camera are you using? im interested in getting into photogragraphy i wanted to possibly get a nikon d80 or a canon 40dx what would you say is my best option? I want something where i can take photos for photo shoots that my girlfriend will be doing and also some cool photos like scenery and such.
Hi tim
That pic was taken with my Nikon D300. The D80 or D40x would be a nice pick. It just depends what you like. Nikon or canon. Both really nice camera's. If you need more info just shoot me a PM....john

I spun the rotor by hand and took the pic with a longer shutter speed

Wifey gave me the green light to get a Trex 500 after I was ready to order a CopterX 200 to compete with Mitch. :)
Problem is, I want the fully blinged version, so I'll have to wait at least a month more!!!!

The Scorpion -8 V2 looks nice in comparison to the V1. I hope this thing is powerful enough I am going to order up a -6 V2 soon for my Trex. I hope a CC35 is enough to run a -6 V2 motor.
You go Vic save for the bling.

I wouldn't try that if I were u muffin man. Peter spend like $500 bucks trying to get the very same Walkera that you have to fly good. In the end, it probably even flew worse!!! LOL.
Sell it while it still flies and save yourself the fustration that Peter went through.

I'm gonna second that Vic. But muffin man is young and most of the time, they have a mind set and they stick with it... I literally spent over 5 bills to get my crap 52 to fly decent. and DECENT is not even what I accomplished. POS is all I have to say. I regret buying that POS more than dating my EX GF. I wrote many pages back why the 52 is worthless, and said that if u try and 3D, it will boom strike. and what does muffinz say a few pages later... Boom Strike. Go figure. Go for it muffinz, spend the big buckaroos to get that 52 to fly. Heck it can be dont if u have unlimited funds to fabricate about 90 percent of a stock heli. Hey not trying to be a dick here eggz. Just trying to share a experience.

I asked this on the 450 forum too but want to hear from you guys. Am I an outright idiot to run woodies at 3100RPM?

Wow, I just had a nice 9 minute flight with my rex:thumbup::YeaBaby::clappp The throttle curves were at 0, 30, 60. practicing some nose in, small circuts down my street.

Well I hope that was governor mode otherwise I think Sean needs to look at your setup again. 9 minutes is really good you must be really optimized for longevity.

The esc has a governor in it(rce-bl35x), the beeps were like 1,2,2,2,3, is that governor mode?

that is the Scorpion -8, yes, I did it with woodies and no problem, 100% flat curve too and a 100-95-100 curve, no problems. Flight power 2170 25c, blah blah blah....
3330 from what I found. Didn't get the chance to try anything else. Waiting on the gyro I bought to show up.
I'll have the 90 re-geared and the Scorpion flying by this weekend, the re-gearing on the 90 should be fun. 1950+ headspeed with 710mm blades.
