I don't kown Sean, that kid flew very close to the ground when doing his 3Dz. Your's are really high doing 3D. Maybe with a Trex 500, since its so much slower than a Trex 450, you can come close to that. Next time out, ask Jason to borrow his Trex 500 so you can fly like that also!!! :)

500 slower than 450?? wow the 500s flying down here in oc are awsome. bullseye has his going ballistic for 5m, finless slams his around like a 450, fireup has the most power and rips with that scorpion .. a 500 is a 450 on steroids...lots of muscle..

Maybe not super slow, but if you watch Jason Chow's 450 vidz compared to his 500 vidz, you will see there is a big difference in speed. Guess if you don't fly like Mr. Chow, both will feel super ballistic. :)

Jason Bell recently told me that his Trex 500 also felt slow, and he's a pretty hard stick banger. For the common flying person though, it should be fast enough. I can't wait to get my new kit!!!! :)

ill will hopefully soon have the scoprion motor on my 500 along with a few upgrades and prototype things, should have a very high performing trex 500 within a few days :glasses2:
my 450 ive decided after some prototype testing with the scoprion -6 is way too fast, i have switched down to the -8 personally for the time being.

Yea, that vid with Kevin flying his 500 with the new Scorpion motor looks very balistic with a 3200rpm headspeed. Can't wait to see what you do with it Jason at that same headspeed!!!!

Yeah I am going with a second -8 V2 motor on the Trex 450SE V2. I guess I have decided to leave it grounded until I get the bec back from SportBEC. Can't risk a midflight reboot after Horizon Hobby told me not to risk it. I kind of miss flying my Trex though it's a different experience and I am so used to it.
So is this FunFly going to happen even if it rains guys?

The Raptor is ready to fly with it's new gearing, max headspeed @ 15994 rpms is 2020.
The motor will cruise along a little easier when not doing max 3D flying. It would be nice IF I could get an expert to tune my OS91 c spec. I'm still way rich and there is a lot more power to be had. Just some general guidelines would be nice. I know it's "4 stroking" right now, I want to get it on the pipe and putting out the power it is capable of. It's going to need it with the gearing I put in it.
I didn't buy "Radix stick bangers" for nothin. :smokin:
