Looks like it has a really high c of g on the head. That with the thin main shaft, I could see issues. . .

Yeah it does look better now that I look at it that way. It just seems weird because it covers the swash plate I guess.

Long how about a meeting so we can discuss? We can all bring our best ideas to the table and vote.

SCHC is worth working for and saving. Jason and Tim the original founders have left their roles all to you and I understand it is hard but we can do this. We have to set goals and meet them.

CopterX 200: keep in mind, this thing is half the size of a Trex 450. I don't expect it to fly 3D like a 450.

Ok well after hearing the horor of finding the original field and hearing some history I have decided to agree with Long. Keep the the SCHC going on the thread and the website but not have a dedicated field.

Besides I can't really do every weekend anyway. I will just have to start driving out to where you guys are meeting. Please enlighen me to the dates of the meets. This weekend is out for me. Can we get a post on the website, mailing list, or some formal way of knowing where the gang will meet?

We should keep an eye our for fields. That won't hurt. I hunted around a bit on google earth and actually drove around last year looking for fields to fly at. I went to serveral places. I even found a kick a$$$$ field at a Catholic Retreat Center in Alta Vista, but the owners wouldn't let us use the field, not even for a funfly. There a few more places I didn't check out around the 2 fwy between the 210 and 134 fwy. Whoever has time, get on google earth and search around, then go see if the place is heli friendly.

Hay Vic. I think the area you are looking at is the Glendale Sports Center, right next to the 2 on the east side. Three baseball fields and a big soccer area. I already checked it out as a place to fly but there are staff on-site any time it's opened. When I asked them about flying RC helis, their response was "You're kidding, right....." :thumbdown:

I know what that is I forgot about it! It's the place off the Wheatland exit from the 210 freeway. Dude that place is huge!

Edit: That's where that guy hid in the sewer drain after stabbing someone at a church though. Not that I care I am sure the area isn't that bad. Some upper class people live through there too.
