I just replace the worn parts and bearings. I dunno which is the better way. I guess if I could get a new kit at the price you do!

I CANT STOP SMILING! I just got back from my park. I did my best inverted flight. I hovered inverted 5-10 feet up for like all 3 of my packs and on the 2nd one, my motor completely cut out and I did a head touch:YeaBaby::YeaBaby: (the blades graced the ground, and the motor came back on and I flipped it over and landed it)!!! My heli is fine, no damage except for the fact that my heli looks like spinach has been dumped on it:shock: Pics of my blades are coming soon.

I have made a decission that is going to take me a long time to save up for. 600N!! The kit is one thing but I am also going to need a 611 so I can use that new brushless servo by Futaba. Then servos.
Now I have to start researching to decide which kit. I want the metal upgrades I don't suppose they all come in a kit? I want to get the heli first so I have something to look at while I save for the rest of the parts.

If I stop smoking again I can put all the money I currently spend on cigarettes into a savings account. Per the WAA = Wife Aviation Authority. I smoke a pack and a half a day! Maybe it won't take all that long..

It's nice to have the best of everything on your first flight with a new bird.............BUT.........might I suggest you get it flying with what you can get your hands on and then upgrade from there.
I have some stuff that is way beyond what I can make use of. It's nice to have it but I could get by with "stuff" that isn't as good and I would be happy with it.
"Caviar taste buds and canned tuna budget". We all know what that's like.
I don't have the best of everything, there is something better in all aspects of my heli's, I put on what I can afford and I'm flying my heli's.
I"ve seen 90s using a 401 gyro and it worked fine, I've seen a Raptor 90 using the servos that come with the DX7 ?D285s? and they worked fine, ask Jason, he flew Mad Dave's 90 that had sub par stuff and it worked really well.
If you've got more time than money, use that time to find stuff at rock bottom prices and get yourself flying a 600. I highly recommend getting a 50size or larger Heli. I love my Raptor 90, everyone that has one loves it, it's not the top of the hill Heli but it sure flys sweet. Ask Rob/Zguy what he thinks, he loved it when I let him fly it.
BTW: if anyone wants to buy some of those stock servos that come with the DX7, I know where to get some, 4 for $40. They should still have em. Pegasus.

Is the Knight 50 any cheaper and is it as good?
Where is that video of Bert flying Vic's Knight? Looked like it flew pretty good to me. :YeaBaby:

hey guys, if you run two 2170mah 3s packs in a series it would double the voltage but the mah would stay the same right? so basicaly it's like running a 6s 2170mah pack correct?
when i get a dragonus 500 i am thinking of putting it on 6s power, but not sure yet......either 5 or 6

You are right Mitch that is great advice! So I guess I can buy the basic package. I have to print them out and start researching each package. Anyone want to give me a 600N buying 101 for tuna budget guys?
Anything Bert flies looks good. :noteworthy

The Knight 50 3D is a kick a$$$$$ heli. The new kits have all the upgraded fixes also that cause minor problems before. And, the price went down to only $399. Why pay double for a Trex 600 Nitro, when you can get a Nitro at half the cost, and can perform harder 3Dz.

You are right Tyler and that is the setup most of people are running on the Trex 500's. So I guess the Dragonus 500 will be the same size as the Trex 500 right?

Mike, a bigger heli will make you learn faster. Going for a 50 is a good choice.
The Knight 50 3D is a great heli. Many people love their Knight 50's more than their trex 600N's. The price is also much softer for a Knight 50 (400 bucks) however, you have to order parts online. There is no LHS in LA area carrying Knight stuff.
The 401 works great on every heli. Don't have to get a 611 for it. If I was you, I also choose the 401 + s9254.
A good setup Knight 50 would be around 1500 as I calculate in my head.
