Actually MTA Hobbies in Los Angeles carries Knight 50 3D Parts. Ah Clems goes there all the time to get parts for his Knights. One of these days, I'll get the Carbon Fiber Frame upgrade for my Knight!!!
Originally the reason I got my Knight was because toooooo many people had the Trex 600 Nitro's. When I went to the San Diego Funfly, there was 30 people flying the Trex 600 Nitro's.

Edit:
I like the Knight 50 3D. I love the 600N. I need something I love to save for a nitro.

MIke,
If you get a TREX 600E, I would strongly suggest upgrading to the metal blade grips and pulleys when you build.
I have read about the plastic main grips failing on several of the forums (not related to the Align Blade problem), and have seen the plastic tail pulleys come loose in flight.
Also, I changed the plastic bellcranks (cyclicy/collective) to the metal versions during the build, due to defects in those parts (bubbles in the casting where the ball link threads in on the elevator bellcrank.
Jason could tell you better about the 600N.
The 600E is very easy and pleasant to fly, yet very responsive with lots of power ( much moreso at the beginning of the battery pack).
(edit: it looks like you were looking at the 600N, so I apologize in referencing the 600E).
Mitch,
As far as the Knight 50 goes, I think you might find the regular 50 or the Pro, a little too slow for your taste (Jason thought my Knight 50 Pro was a bit slow for him-I respect his opinion).
The Knight 3D is quicker than either of the two TREX 600N's I have flown, so that might be more in line with what you are looking for. (look at the add for the Avant Aurora, then compare them to the Knight 3D-it is quite interesting).
No upgrades are required with the Knights either.
My two cents, for whatever that is worth, correcting for inflation...

Richard,
Cool thanks for you input sir. Yeah I am going to keep the electrics to the 450(325) class. I am not interested in eating 300 dollars in battery costs per crash or mistake. I rather pay for the fuel and lose the power to weight ratio competition. Besides every time I see a guy start a nitro and I smell that smoke my heart longs for it.
The Trex 500 and the promised RCT-500 full CNC bird are both interesting to me using A123. But for now my heart is after nitro and I should come to terms with that and just get one.
Of course what you kids and guys with no kids do in a few weeks will take me a few months. But I will get there.

Mike,
I completely understand.
I thing you can buy an OS 50 Hyper and a pipe for the cost of one battery for a TREX 600.
