" I am nervious in front of you guys too I won't lie."

Me too.

I went to Carson field yesterday (last day to pay my dues or have to pay the initiation fee again).

Huge field, larger than Whitter.

I spoke to the VP of the Santa Fe Dam club in person about a fun fly there and he said it might be doable, but I'm not going to mess with it because this group is too unpredictable and I'm not going to put my reputation out on the line and then not have anyone show up at a special reserved fun fly. Besides, this is more of a job for the club officers, not just a hang around such as myself.

Anyone that wants to can pick up the ball and run with it. Go for it.

So whats the popular heli these days? Im saving up for a bigger heli, most likely a dragonus 500(dont want a rex 500 from the looks of the 450) Whats the popular setup on a 500 now?

Polular??? i believer you are talking about Align

good flying vic, now start working on pattern , and hover, nose in. sloww that heli down .

I can do all that type of flying, but thats not my style. I hate having to prove myself to people to nose in and crap. I fly the way I like and have my own style. Some peple like to fly boring and do ring around the rosies type flying over and over again. I might as well pack it up and sell my heli's if I'm gonna fly like that!!!! :YeaBaby:

Only type of flying you'll ever see from me from now on will be more agressive till I get in the pattern of hard 3Dz. I need to get out to fly more, as on the sim I can go all ballz out. I just need to now apply it in real flight.

BTW, there's some misconception with SCHC guys that air bubbles in your fuel line will blow up your Motor. Mitch confronted me Saturday harshy thinking I was crazy and air bubbles wil blow up his motor. Here's some replies I got concerning if this is true or not.

:P:roll: Ha ha ha... Anyway, what is a good setup for a 500? First im gonna run a Dx6/ar6000, 2 kong power 2200 mAh 3s packs in series, and if the dragonus comes with a esc/motor I will use that.

Well, Vic, you dont see mad 3dz only tail in. You dont have to do circuts and stuff, but it would be really boring seeing a 3d show only tail in. Im trying to practice flips and rolls nose in.

I personally would like to see a simple tail in hover for 1 minutes that is not all over the place?

Airboss is right and any pro will tell you learn control first before trying to bang it around as that will also look out of control. Vic if you really want to get better learning to do tictocs now and other things is only going to get you in trouble later. If you cant do nose in or things like that "in control", then one of these days your going to wind up in that condition and watch out!! This heli is no Trex450 and if your constantly on the edge of control and orientation eventually you will crash that big heli into a crowd somewhere.

Now that doesn't mean don't have fun and try some stuff every now and then but as part of a routine you should also practice some controlled flying and smooth it out. I am sure Jason Chow or Bert would tell you the same thing. Doing that WILL make you better faster... Oh and safer too...

Well, I had airbubbles in the line, fine ones that were streaming into the carb, not every so often but continually.

You told me that air bubbles wouldn't fry my motor, this is incorrect, See Feb issue of RC Heli mag ( I think that is the right issue?) I was running my heli to see if I had solved the issue and I hadn't (yet) and you asked me why I was running it if it would fry my motor and at the same time telling me it wouldn't hurt it.

You, self admittedly say you know very little about Nitro heli's and then make a statement like that? D00D! Your engine was backwards and you didn't even know it and all of the sudden you're an expert.

You were talking around in circles and I'm trying to fix a problem with you talking non sense. Ya, it's gonna piss me off.

Think about it just for a minute Vic.

We're cool, no worrys.

BTW, the thread you posted is talking about heli's without a header tank which mine has.

Like I said before, I can do all that stuff you guys want, and have shown people out in the field I can nose in and stuff. But I guess you guys don't understand. I ain't gonna waste my time and make a video to please you folks. I agree with learning the basic, and I already learned that last year.

Anyways, point said. :)

BTW, Mitch, I never claimed to be an expert. All I said that air bubbles weren't gonna blow up your engine and you went bannana nuts at at the field and cursed me out.

Honest, I'll let the cat out of the bag, many guys from SCHC have told me they don't like to fly when your around Mitch because you have a very bad attutude to everybody there and here on the forums. You put down our President Long and say he don't have leadership skills. Then you go out the field and curse people out. Chill out bro. We are here to have fun.

"Don't Taco My Pack Dude!" :wow2:

This a great sig line! Didn't just notice it or anything just get a kick out of it.

Probably stemmed from an actual event though but was worth that tag line!

Lota Fun R

The one reply that says it won't is reffering to large air bubbles, not fine ones like I had in mine, and he was also talking about the use of a header tank to prevent them. The header thank works in that aspect but not when you have tiny air bubbles in your fuel line going directly into the carburator.

Get your facts straight Vic.

Don't like to hear the truth.

Lets not stir the pot. We fly the style we like and we all have are own attutite towards different situations. So with that said, lets get back to being friends:hug:

Well, look at what Mitch post about our Club HeliSmith. He's always putting down our memebers. He calls us unpredicable and says our leaders lack leadership. We are in a transition right now trying to find a better field, no need to put us down like that.

Look what he just posted today here:

BTW, I don't have a bad attitude.

I guess I'm the only one that isn't afraid to say when a guy is full of it.

If what you say is true Vic, I'm hanging around the wrong crowd and I'll leave.

I like Long, I consider him a good friend and we've both gone out of our way to help each other. Nothing I've said is intended to harm anyone.

You have a very bad attitude Mitch. You don't curse people out when they are trying to help you. Anyways, I'm not going to name names, but it is how it is, just so you know from a few people who have also commented to me about how you get.

Lota Fun R

Vic, maybe it's you that has the bad attitude? Matter of fact, it IS you that has a bad attitude.

It's real easy to point fingers about others behavior just to make what YOU are doing seem ok.

I don't know what your problem is dood.

Mitch,

It is true that I have heard the same thing from some of the members I will also not name names. I personally don't care about attitude I do personally have to restrain myself. I work very very hard to not say what I think because I have found that what I think one minute may not be my final stance.

I like you Mitch and still want to fly with you. You yell at me I will yell back though.

Tell you what Vic..... Make one video for me showing nose in hover for say 1 minute, controlled ff flight that is not mostly tail in, etc and if you prove it to me I will get off your back forever (and I know a lot of other will too). Now that's gotta be a deal you cant refuse? I personally think a lot of other people would like to see that vid myself...

Show of hands?
