So he just has to hover in all orientations? Yeah Vic just you and Yesania go to a field and hover and put an end to this.

Well not just hover man..... He argues he learned nose in and forward flight last year and can do it all slow and controlled but that he doesn't want to...
Now I have yet to see him do that in any video.....

So the Finless "get off your back" challange is:

I am asking a little controlled looking routine.
Hover tail in in one spot not sliding all over the place... one spot keeping it in say a 3-4 foot circle. Gotta be at least 45 seconds to a minute.
Hover nose in the same. One spot showing control.
Just that right there will impress me (I am easy to impress).

Then some forward flight making full figure 8's not sliding figure 8's where the tail is always at a 90 or pointing in. I mean come all the way around on both the left and the right runs in the 8 so the nose is coming in on the 8 leg.

Finally for extra credit and I will give a big bow to, make a full flying circle in front of you. Not a figure 8 but a 360 flying circle where the nose comes completely across the 90 from left to right or visa versa. (not a piro here but FF flying circle). If I see that I will :noteworthy that he actually can do it!

I know this is in all good fun, but why do you care how he fly's? He's not dangerous and he's just flying how he wants to. He's having fun. I was standing next to him that whole flight and never once did he do something unsafe.

Unfortunately when you post a video it is open for debate. Especially on the freak. Finless is saying if he does these things he won't harp on him about the 3D anymore before learning control.

Why? Oh and I am not saying that video was unsafe. Just agreeing with Airboss that some showing off of control would be a good thing for ****** to do.. In fact I bet it would get a lot of people off his rear end over it.

Helismith is right... No matter where you post vids of your flying be it Youtube or otherwise, if your going to talk smack about mad 3Dz then some are going to debate it...

This is why I don't actually like to show that much of me flying and when I do I don't claim mad 3dz.... In fact the opposite... I state I am no hot 3D pilot thus I try to set the expectation of those that are about to watch me fly.....

But I think I hear a back out of the "Finless Challange"? Personally Vic if you can fly like you say, I think it would be good for you to do so and shut everyone up!

For those of you who didn't like coming around Mitch I can tell you he isn't coming back. He told me outright in PM he won't go where he's not wanted. He wasn't mad he was calm and I am sure he meant it.

This club is not dying or dead and Long is a great leader. Most of this club is the thread we roll on as well as the people who participate not the field we choose to fly at. We have great guys on our side and we will continue to be a great club no matter what happens. I will help in any way I can and besides it's not even summer. Not like not having a field is super critical right now.

He's not really the type Sean. He's a very proud person. I don't think he would come back if we begged at this point.

I thought when I posted telling him what others have expressed he would just take it in stride and tell us to man up but try to be more gentle to the non confrontational people.. Now I am sure he won't.

You are wrong IMHO and inexperienced. I have seen in ****** vids and heard from people at the field on where and how he crashes in proximity to innocent bystanders or other modelers at the field I can tell you right now that MANY of us have NEVER crashed close to people because we tried 3D before learning to hover. Come on man, it is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when with Vic. Nothing personal but you need to go to a real AMA ruled event and see if Vic would not get grounded with the stuff he thinks is fun. DavidH... am I right telling the truth? Come on to B-Ham Vic and fly with some very experienced to the newbies and have a safe and fun time.

I don't think that setting a careless and self serving persona is good for Vic and I have told him so. You guys call it personal attack, come see and talk to me at IRCHA.

I guess I really stirred the pot this time,, sorry guys, and you too Vic,, just giving some constructive criticism..but Finless' challenge is good dont pass it up. last time I flew with him he reminded me of the importance in nose in and slow pattern moves. so I practiced them, there is nothing boring about a steady nose in hover 15ft in front of myself. Oh and dont forget to auto every landing. another thing Finless helped me with.

Here's my Sky Shark back together notice the one blue flybar cage. Fiberglass blades from RC-TEK seem pretty stiff and weren't flexing but I don't trust the skid screws enough to do to much... lol They came in my kit as extras. Guess I will see how they fly.

Man, I still need to man up and do autos. I just get the shakes every time I think about hitting hold.

It would have been useful on Thursday. My 600E's motor cut out unexpectedly, and I had 150 feet to come down, a couple of hundred feet away from me. I botched it, and took some damage with a boomstrike. Lost the boom, torque tube, the links to the blade grips and a boom support. Amazingly, that was it.

I SHOULD have been ready to turn it towards me when the motor cut off, and I SHOULD have been ready to manage the energy better and keep the disk loaded. As it was, I was lucky that it hardly bounced since I had so little energy at the bottom for a flare, and it went behind a berm out of my sight. I was amazed to find it sitting upright, on intact skids.

The last two days, I've been practicing almost nothing but autorotation approaches under power. I just have to man up and hit hold.

I need to clear up with all you guys.

Since the last time Tim quit the president of the club, I have been in charge of organizing and holding SCHC funflies at the Tujunga field. However, like I said before no longer can we advertise our funflies and invite people to join in publicly unless our club is an AMA sanctioned club.

My main sold purpose here is to study. I don't want to get involved in any kind of lawsuits so that I can maintain my student VISA until I finish my undergraduate and graduate degrees. You guys need to understand this idea.

SCHC is still a wonderful club. You guys are wonderful guys. I have had very good times with you guys. For now, we can gather and have meetings at any AMA field at any time (assume that you guys all have AMA) and we can call them SCHC funflies ourselves. To advertise and invite people to our funflies, we need someone who understands the laws to process an AMA certification.

Since, I only stay in the U.S.8 moths a year and I always go back to Vietnam everytime I have no school. I don't understand the laws here either. So we need someone to stand out who really can handle the club if we want our funflies to be as big or bigger than the ones before.

Mitch, hope you read this. You are welcome to come back to fly with us. I know you got some unclear ideas there but they will clear up soon.

I'm unsubscribing and will talk to all the SCHC guys on AIM for now on and discuss flying. Too bad threads turn into a zoo.

We should of always stuck to only posting SCHC discussing the SCHC Forum, but you guys always like to be where we always get trashed for anything we post. Ohh well.

Long I wish I had every weekend free or I would step up and take care of it. As far as researching the AMA sanctioned club I will do that. We need someone not afraid to get in trouble to be the responsible person.

Like for instance at work I personally am responsible for maintaining the laws with our fleet of trucks. Even though our President is the owner of the company, I am the person who faces the firing squad legally. Same idea should apply here. We just need someone able and willing.

thyere is a gigantic difference between constructive advise and trashing people. what I see is if you cant accept the critics views then dont post vids. I use these vids for learning and appreciate those who film them. good or bad Mad3Dzzz we still enjoy the vids, and the comments. so stand up and take it like a man then bone up and show us that steady controlled nose in hover.. bet you cant do it..
