damn.... i was going to post up some vids of me flying but you guys would probably just pick at it and degrade the video and me to nothing...

I wouldnt. Thats for people who are either jealous or has a real reason to say something. Say something constructive(not in a disrespectfun manner) or say nothing at all, thats how I have always looked at it.

I didn't read anything except Mitch's post so if other stuff was said don't think I blatantly ignored you. I did ask him to come and see that I changed my mind. I was probably seeing things that weren't there. He told me he posted here too so I came to see what he said.

I am sorry I said some things when I had let stuff build up I don't really believe you guys had issues and didn't tell him. I think it was a fight between Victor and Mitch that I should have stayed out of. But either way I am out of this thread because if I stay it will kill my desire to fly. Insanity = Doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Much respect and I wish you all well.

I hear what you're saying Tim, but the looks have seriously grown on me and I now prefer it to Align's look.

I kinda forgot that there are a lot of people that read but don't post, I'm sure that others either forgot or didn't know.

Screw Run Ryder

Saw that dork at the Basin today, I don't bother talking to him, waste of time, I did hit him in the head with the main blade on the Raptor 90 though, as I walked by. :cheers

Scorpion spun the gear on the tail block deally, couldn't figure out why the tail servo worked but it wouldn't hold it....til I saw it was popped off the shaft. Got lucky it didn't happen in flight.

It's nice to see you get so much satisfaction to see a Heli club have problems.

There is a common denominator as to the cause of each thread going off track.

The majority of the club are solid people that I enjoy flying with.

For the record, at Buzzin the Border a freaken gust of wind took my Mini-Titan as it was way to windy to fly there at 30mph gusts. Yea, it took off, but I also brought it back dude and did not crash.

Winds weren't gusting anywhere close to 30mph at Buzzin' dude.. Even in '06 when it was much windier than '07 the gusts weren't hitting 30.

Yea I wasnt going to support that statement either but decided not to say anything!
I am glad somene that is not involved with this club was there and stepped up and said something..... Skiddz we both know that was BS and in fact was good flying winds that entire weekend! MAYBE 5mph.....

****** you DO need to make a vid now that Skiddz pointed out your BS post.... If you want us locals to support you this time around.... It's time to show you can do what you say you can even though you don't like to fly controlled as you say....

This vid here you posted on Youtube is another example showing the shear FACT that you cant even hover in one spot.

v87_orcBIgs

That video cracks me up.... You have to love wives that love a man and supports him to the end.... He does a uncontrolled piro and she says "nice". The bad part is I am worried that one day he will hit her with a heli.... That almost happend one day at Arbor park with the E550. Vic, your wife supports you man... Think about her next time you loose control doing MAD 3Dz.... I really think one day she will get the bad end of your stick man and be in the hospital with Madz 3Dz :(

Finless, I'm sure you only want him to succeed in this hobby, but let it rest man, he's outta here. I highly doubt he's reading this anymore. If you want to start another match go see him on runryder.

Lota Fun R

Finless, I'm sure you only want him to succeed in this hobby,

I totally agree, and his success is success for all of us.

It won't be long before the funkillers attack our hobby. Anything YOU enjoy doing the crabby pissheads will go after and try to take away what YOU love to do.

You are young and haven't been through it yet, but you will, I promise you.

Lawsuits are the death of any hobby or special interest.

Example:

Pilot A flys his heli into a crowd, claims it wasn't his fault, "the receiver had a lock out" and chops into a childs body, or a mother holding her child. Anyone that sold a part for that helicopter will be in court and likely everyone that had a booth at that event and the people that sold them the tables to display their products.....

See how this works?

Don't mean to be so graphic but it could happen and I pray it doesn't.

If I were a manufacturer "the unsafe pilot" is my nightmare.

It SUCKS!

Now you are getting a clear picture of why these veterans get so concerned with safety.

"I" have taken their/veterans advise to heart.

My post wasn't to start flaming Vic - it was to point out the conditions at Buzzin' '07 were much better than described. Buzzin' '06 was pretty windy. Both Finless and I attended both and we both agree that '07 was REALLY nice flying weather compared to '06.

Lota Fun R brings out the point that's been attempted over and over. Lack of safety precautions by ANYONE in this community of ours are going to bring out the killjoys. We've seen it on the beaches here in SD county. The few drunken morons have made enjoying a cold beer on the beach against the law. Same with the few idiots in the desert. Now you can't hang out in your truck or buggy at the bottom of the big hills at night...

The flight in question was not wind related; it was thumbs and brains related. I was there, I saw it happen as did 100 other people in attendance. It's a valid safety concern for all of us in the hobby.

A LOT of people have tried helping Vic - hell, look at the threads from a year ago. Finless even gave the guy some one on one at Arbor park. You can't say "we" haven't tried to help. Sure, I'd love to see the guy succeed, but I'm honestly afraid he's gonna hit someone (or himself) and cause harm to the hobby in general.

Now, having said that, I'm all for bailing out of this thread and moving on.
