Victor,

I have the #5 6. It flies quite well indoors and only outdoors in an absolute dead calm. I flew it inside the tent structure convention hall in Pasadena last month.

It is very easy to fly, but you can give a strong enough control input to cause the flybar to hit the lower set of blades. In my case this resulted in a 15 minute search of the backyard to find it.

The motors get quite hot, so you need to fly it a few minutes, then let it cool (people on the forum are reporting burning out motors).

I have no experience with the other one.

The revmax governor needs magnets installed on the flywheel. Polarity needs to be different if I understand it right. When they stick together they are ? and they need to be ? :confused:

well, finaly i fixed my electric shock..... rebuilt the nose and mounted the motor then plugged it in to test it and the motor is acting wierd? :(
when i turn it by hand it is scratchy and sticks. with power it runs slower than normal....
arrggggg....
motors are the one thing i know almost nothing about.
can you guys help me diagnose what happened?

mitch you are correct. make sure you do this correctly. a tip i learned, stick the two magnets together, mark the sides that you see, the put the marked sides into the slot so you dont see them. make sure you glue them in nice and well and that there is nothing exposed. you want the magnets perfectly flush (and i mean not even a milimeter to far out).

make sure that sensor is secured also and your ready to go.

as for tomorrow, i will only have the align 500 out. gotta go early and gotta leave early im afraid. :(

Hey guys, been busy all evening. Had to replace the mixing arms on my Mars 480 with some new ones that Gazaur had sent me from Asia, then re-set the tracking. Then I heated the plactic covering over the wood blades, and the POS plastic tore off in one section. Hopefully it will still be flyable like that. Need Carbons. Still finishing up charging my batteries making sure they are all at full charge.

Got some killer new Enya #3 glow plugs to put in my YS50 engines. These plugs make the engine purr and roar at the same time. Also, they don't burn out as fast on a rich setting at the OS #8 plugs. So, my Knight is ready to make some Indian Smoke signals again. Maybe by my 3rd tank full, I'll flip it and do some nice 3dz on it, since I gotta re-break in the YS50 again.

Someobody asked about my Raptor e550? I sold that sucker a few moons back. Got $780 for it with two 6s batteries, charger, airframe, motor and esc.

I'm looking for a nice indoor apartment heli to fly for Santa to get me now!! :)

Weird, the marble stain on the canopy didn't happen on the tail H&V fins, that's alright I've got some red and yellow paint. Paint is the least of my worrys, I"ll bring the beast. I'll say this, I didn't know what I was getting into and the more I look at this thing the more I think I like it.....it IS a beast, this is gonna be cool. :smokin:

best flights of the day were from Longs Synergy and Tim on the 600N. for those who couldnt make it , well you missed out! we had a blast and lots of vid and pics to follow.

The field was sweet today weather was so nice. We had a lot of people show up there was a ton of helicopters. Lots of people showed for the earlier part of the day. The later part of the day the crowd thinned and just a handful of guys had all the fly time they wanted.

If you were waiting to see the Align 500 I think Jason delivered. My impressions of the Align 500 were good. I won't give any detailed information because I don't want to overstep my bounds.

Two lock out issues today with Specktrum have my faith down. ****** for sure was a lock out on the Mars and Jason was going to test fly mine but it locked out and went full throttle just like Vic. Luckily the motor jumped back from the main gear so Jason and I just grabbed it.

My JGF500th motor is spent. Almost dumped it in my last flight because it was majorly losing power. When I went to spin up the last pack it wouldn't go past a few turns a minute even though I checked my battery with a multimeter.

Stay tuned there is definately HD video of the 500 and other stuff by ******. I think there's a shot of me doing a couple of flips right after my lock out. I was a little nervous as you may expect.
