Holy crap those things are pricey, seems a little high for me, I opted for the regulator change, hardly ever have to charge anymore.

Does that apply to the DX7 as well the the DX6?

The DSM2 on the DX-7 does not use as much power. I did the voltage regulator swap on my DX-7 and it did make a difference. You really need to be good at desoldering and soldering electronics to do this mod. The battery update for a DX-7 is far easier with great results.

In Australia out radio gear needs to stay un-modded otherwise our insurance is unlikely to payout if there is an accident. Also it voids ya warranty :)
