Is there any news about changing area code in 2.4 GHz module ?
As far as I know, Sniver have unsolded the EEPROM, but what about changing zone ? is it working
Whenever we can connect directely on the EEPROM, do you think it is possible to read and write that EEPROM ?
Please, share what you know

1. Just to share that I have plugged in a TM 14 module from 14 MZ into my FX40 and man, it works. Seems like the 2.4GHz module for 14MZ and FX40 is the same SKU. As long as the area in the transmitter matched the 2.4 GHz area of origin, then it works. Looks like I am going to just crack open a 2.4 GHz module and adapt it to reside in the FX40 with no modification to the backplate, and for the antennae to come out at the right place.
2. Anyone knows why the 2.4GHz module is so thick? Can we squeeze the distance between the two pcbs?
BTW, rather than mucking up the 2.4GHz module by trying to write the EEPROM etc, it is easier to just change the region in the transmitter using the utility to set the area in the 2.4 module. Of course then you will have areas that may not correspond to where you use the tx.
