Hi!

Is it necessary to glue or fix the two support for the tailrotor on the tail boom?

Hi,
I asssume your talking about the guides for the rod that connects the servo to the rear rotor mechanism. I believe it was in one of Finless's videos where he shows using a piece of a small plastic tie inserted inbetween the guide and the boom. It just wedges the guide so it won't slide very easy. It only takes a piece as long as the guide is wide. Works good for me. Also Finless's videos are great.

Thanks for your hint, john2; i have seen the videos, but i guess, i missed that part with the two support for the rod.

thanks!

use a ziptie, but put it around the support and boom in a figure eight. like this:

I use clear scotch tape around the boom in the location I want the guide to stay. It makes the diameter perfect by using one layer of tape cut down to half the width. Cutting it makes it a little narrower than the guide itself and you cannot tell there is anything there but the clamp.

I didn't like the rudder control guides, they were to flimsy. When I installed the shorter boom I bought one more "tail support clamp". I installed it between the original one and the frame. That divides the boom in 3 equally long parts and it works perfectly.
