so here is the set-up I am using to ensure i paint a clear picture.
I run a t-rex600 with stock pinion(10t) and gearing. it spins 600mm blades witha straight throttle curve at 85%.
Its powered by a thunder power 6s1p 5000mah pack
its charged by a bantam bc-8 charger with balance leads.
I have NEVER taken the battery past the 80%mark, flights are 6min timed.
I can safely say NEVER because i always check the individual cell voltage as well as mah placed back into the pack, so as such the individual cells have never been below 3.75v and the MOST i have ever put back into the pack was 3873mah.. yes i know 4000 is the technical point for 80% so in effect staying below it.
things use to go back to a max of 25.2V with each cell being at 4.20v.
now when i charge the battery (at 1c always) it beeps that it is full and at 25.2V yet most cells are only at 4.19v and occasionaly one or two at 4.18v.
for the last few cycles i have used the "balance charge" mode on the bc-8, and it never actually balances and beeps that it is done??
it will charge everything up fine until this 4.18v-4.19v mark and show 25.18-25.20 total but will stay at a 0.1a charge rate for an entire day?? it never actually says done? i know packs get a lil older and weaker but does this mean you cant balance them anymore? is this specific to the bc-8 ?
the flight times are the same, the power is still all there and the mah back into the pack is still the same, usually between 3700-3800mah. but in balance mode it just doesnt happen..i aint kidding i left it on all day long while doing house work..after over 600 minutes of charging it still did not say "balanced"
my other pacs do so its not a problem with this mode or the charger itself.
any info or insight you may provide would be wonderfull.
