So far my ds821 are doing just fine, but I want to hammer this heli with some power and want extreme collective pop once the carbon frames comes out. What is recommended?

You can go with futaba s9451 or try the new jr (i don't remember the code) that give you 25kg of torque and can run also with 7.4-8.0V. Check out Daniel Jetschin, he has them on his logo600.

You can't go wrong with them. I have the 9451 in mi trex600 on 6.0V and they are great. But in future i want to try also the JR servos.

JR DS8717 or JR z9000s

The 8717 is designed as a heli cyclic servo. The z9000s is a surface servo, a bit faster (0.01 seconds) but less torque.

For less money the Hitech HS6965 or 6975 are aslo quite fast.

Ace RC DS1015 servos from Thunder Tiger. 14.5 kg torque, 0.108 seconds for about $100 US. Seen a lot of T-rex 600s with these servos doing extreme 3d.

25kg of torque! That's astounding! ;)

As I understand it, both the DS8717 and the z9000s will run at 8.4 volts (2S lipo direct).
