I got the kit for the DD tail motor from helihobby.com and I noticed that the tail rotor is on the other side now. Do I have to reverse something?

as long as everything is wired correctly you'll be fine . i have one on my cpp and its on the left now to. just make sure you have everything wired correctly

my tail boom spins clockwise but my tail blades spin counterclock-wise. have you tried reversing the wires cause my wires are red to black and black to red so. thats pretty much all i can think of aat the moment i'll do some research and to my uncle who knows more than i can dream about heli's if your still having trouble

If you could post some pics with captions of where everything is hooked up and which way everything is turning it would be helpful

To get pics on make sure they are no bigger than 800 x 600 and then when you are posting go into advanced mode and click manage attachments or whatever it says, then browse and upload the files, you can preview to see if they work

the 2nd pic shows how the direct drive tail wired- where balck and red go in they come out opposite on the other side.

Ok, that looks good, are you using the 3 in 1 as the tail speed control?

no i dont have the 3 in 1 i have a spektrum reciever for my dx7, so i have a seperate 2amp esc for the tail

ok, thats good, I hate the 3 in 1, its horrible... could your gyro be reversing be wrong, did you check that... I think it should be reversed for a pro i think

I made sure that my gyro on my cpp is configured correctly, regardless 3 in 1 or not the DD should be on the left hand side and the blades should be going counter-clockwise when looked at from the left hand side. Thats the one of the most important things ,that the blades are spinnig counter-clockwise when looked at from the left hand side. If the blades are spinning clockwise try reversing the polarity. If you look at the left-hand picture i posted and zoom in you will see red is to black because i had to reverse the polarity. If you tried reversing the polarity and the blades are still spinning wrong make sure that you put the blades on correctly. Its a possibility that they are flipped incorrectly. To make things a little clearer, with the tail being on correctly here is a link, near the bottom of the page the website clears things up a little- http://bladecprepair.com/man_tr_dd_conversion.html hope this all helps
