Got alot of infoon how to set up the blade with a g90 type gyro, howerver I can't get it to work.
I'm using a stock blade cp pro with the stock tx, plugging in a telebee 9g gyro with the remote gain. Turned down the 3in1 gyro and proportional all the way down. Spools up fine and hovers fine, however if the helo drifts backwards the gyro kicks in and spins my helo around and out of control. What if I turn the prop. up just a bit so it won't stop and make the heli spin??
Any ideas guys?
Thanks, Chris

Get the Freestyle belt drive kit, talk to Mortificate about it...

Verify that your gyro is oriented correctly. Test this by unplugging the main motor, moving your pitch stick up a ways to give power to your tail, and then rotating your heli around its center axis. This should cause your gyro to then turn on the tail and counteract the movement (in one direction- CCW - looking down on your heli from above). Going CW will not cause the motor to speed up. Good luck.

It sounds like something may be reversed or the gyro mounting orientation is wrong.

turn the gain full clockwise and the mix full counterclockwise.
then use the chan. 5 knob the adjust the tail gain...

Thanks for the replies!
I have to give it a little right rudder to keep the tail in one place, like the tail motor is not having enough power (big surprise).
I'm used to "flying the tail" and this is my first working with a gyro.
The orientation of switches are correct so I guess I'll try the DD tail before going belt mod.
Thanks again!

There still may be an opportunity for tuning. My G90 holds the tail well with the stock tail motor setup.

I haven't flow this specific 3in1 before installing the gyro as I just bought it used of eBay! Just tried the 3in1 without the gyro and it flies like crap. The prop. is dial in so it holds during low hover but acts crazy after a while in mid air. Old 3in1 had none of the freaky tendenses.
How can I check if my 3in1 is faulty?
Thanks

Swapped the 10pin motor for an 8pin and she flies beutifully, could it be too much headspeed? If so, wouldn't this be an issue with a brushless upgrade?

i had the same type of problem with my cpp. If the proportional screw or gain screw are turned to far in one or the other direction they will strip out and then it becomes a real challenge to set the gryo up properly. So if when you turn either of these screws they don't stop that is a problem you will need a new 3 in 1. After I got the new 3in1 it was a simple set up. the tail is going to be funny to fly any way you look at it. The tail rotor only spins to compensate for one direction of rotation the main rotor provides the rotation for the other. With my blade the tail is jumpy at any gain setting on the gyro.
Make sure the proportional and gain pots on the 3-in-1 are turned all the way down.
I have a Telebee gyro on my Blade CP Pro (it comes in 6g and 11g, not 9g) and
it holds the tail well, albeit with occasional wagging that does not interfere with
maneuvering.
Good luck and happy flying,
Glen
