New ASKMAN take off lock

Cheap and easy to install. just drill a couple holes and you are done. once in the air, pan the mount opposite direction of lock and it will unlock itself and spring down out of the way :cool: Also its easy to reset. push up as shown and rotate mount into locking positon.

Also, Askman has made a revised strap on kit. but I never had the old one so I dont know what the differences are. but it all looks great :mrgreen:

Yep, they are available, but i dont think they are on his site yet. you can contact him for an order. I haven't flown with it yet, but it works fine on the bench.

I've been making several small improvement on the pan setup since its initial release. thank to rerazor and others , the take off lock is reality. the implementation has not been easy to think up, but it is now available. I've just started shipping mount with these locks (last 2 weeks) and working on update kit for existing mounts.

To make it universal, I've added a quick mount system. I've frankly hated strapping on the LG onto the heli, (which add weight and make it tall) but understood the desire to fly heli off the mount easily. what quick mount system gives you is 2 set of small plate, One gets mounted to the APsystem, one to the frame, you can zip tie the frame and the apsystem or frame and the stock LG using it. You can add a third set of plate for the LG, but I am finding that i don't really need it. just zip it straight onto the LG. I can have it available. I will post some pic later on this weekend. as a side benefit, you can adjust the LG position without drilling new hole.

now to upgrade old mount. I have couple options. If you've purchased your mount within last 3 month, please contact me for upgrade kit for shipping cost. $5.00 in US and $10.00 international

for older mount, there are couple upgrade option

$20.00 plus shipping. New top plate and take off lock. very easy to install. (use the top plate as guide)
$40.00 plus shipping, you receive a new universal quick mount set with new top plate and take off lock.

if you want to add another set of plate to the universal quick mount, it is $10.00 extra. (For extra heli or such)

Actually, I changed my strap on kit a little. I bolted the small plates to the frame, and I drilled out my stock LG, so I can just strap on the LG too.
