Well this is it at last, The Trex Nitro Pro - "VERSION 6" (Color Scheme Fixed - "Verified by three users" - , Head Stiffness Increased, Tail Speed & Stability Fixed, New Muscle Pipe added to model, Updated Piro rate & Skid Error Fixed),
This Trex was modeled from my new actual Model. All dimension & Mass are accurate.
I taught myself 3ds Max during this process, What a great program.

The model is on the Knife Edge Swap pages I will attach a link
http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2938

And for all those picky People out there.
Yes I did start with the sample Heli. to get the right Hierarchy and then modified and replaced all critical parts.

I hope everyone who downloads this model enjoys it.

Check back as I am sure to update things.
Post request to me if you like an Update, I will do them as I get time.
(1465 Downloads of Previous versions)

If your are having trouble with importing TRY the following

Go into realflight and select a different model.

Then go into manage user files under the Simulate Menu and delete the Trex Model you had imported.

Now Re Start Realflight and then Try Importing
the New Trex Version 6 file again.

Now this is the Important Part !!!!
Select the model from the Select Aircraft menu not from the list of last loaded models that appears
at the bottom of the select aircraft menu.

There was a error in the KEX file I had to make sure that the
3DS Max file did not have the FUSELAGE named with a ~CS_ prefix. otherwise the export process does not create a Rootframe and will generate that error every time you try to import.

That was my problem.

All feedback comments are welcome
Post request to me if you like an Update, I will do them as I get time.

Flys very close to the real thing and the model looks awesome!

Thank you very much!

Yeah, great job. The default piro rate is a little slow, but easily changed. I still get some sort of missing skid error when I load this or just about any 3rd party heli.... Maybe a re-install will fix the prob.

Not sure what the skid error is. I it may be in the Kmax converter from 3ds max I tried to find the problem but can not solve it yet. I will ask Knife edge software to have a look. It does not affect anything anyhow.

I have the same with the Raptor Titan, but as you say I cannot see that it affects anything.

great model...makes me want a 600n even more.
i fiddled with the editor in G3 and the tail seems to be close to what i have seen on the real thing.

heres what i did
went into the editor
went to electronics
heading hold gyro
changed the heading hold rotation rate from 360 to 960 (almost maxxed it out)
under that there is heading hold acceleration changed that from 1080 to 3080.

now the tail seems pretty damn good
thanks for sharing it.....love it

Just post the file named "Trex 600 Nitro Pro.plnG3"

It is usally located in the folder C:\Program Files\RealFlightG3\Planes

This is where all the settings for the Aircraft are stored.

I am having a lot of trouble with the tail setting. Especially going fast backward.
When you stear going fast backward inverted every now and then when you are going real fast
the whole heli spins around by its self can anyone send me some setting that work.

I have set may radio to
low rate 75
high rate 100
expo 0

Rate Gyro Gain = 50
Arresting Gain = 30
Heading Hold Gain = 70
Heading Hold Max Acelleration = 2000.
Heading Hold Mix= 100
Heading Hold Pirouette Rate DEG/SEC = 650.
Heading Hold Range = 15

Please help as this is a real pain

Ive done a few mods to the original that was put out to get the tail to my liking....increased the tail rotor gear ratio to 5 from 4.5....increased tail rotor diameter by 1/2inch....and set tail rotor volume to 100%......my tail doesnt blow out.....might give it a try and see if it works for you.

Is anyone else having the wobble head or is it just mine? the tail is really touchy.. hope we can figure this out its such a nice bird!

The wobble is normal, you have to hit edit, then display advanced options, scroll to main rotor, and change the head stiffness to 155 i have found is great.
