I'm looking for a crank shaft locking tool for my OS Hyper 50, so I can tighten the nut on the fan, while checking for run-out. Is there such a thing? I know some guys shove fuel tube down the cylinder from the glow plug hole, but I heard that is not the best way to go, as it could be possible to bend the rod or some type of damage. Is there a crank lock tool that works for all motors? Might want to upgrade to a 60 or 90 sized machine someday, if my skills ever improve. Thanks.

I have used an old tooth brush handle before, to keep it from spinning.
Or you can buy one. (http://www.heliproz.com/prodinfo.asp?number=144960)

If its a screw on fan there's nothing you can do about run out while you're tightening it anyhow.
Now if its a colleted fan that's another story.
