I'm thinking of putting an Airwolf fuselage on my Raptor 50 but I'm not sure which one to go with. Does anyone recommend one over the other.

I'm leaning towards the FunKey just because you can get them pre-painted. Are there any advantages to getting the bare kit and painting it yourself?

I would go for the Funkey prepainted fuselage, i ve got one and fixed it with my raptor 50, it looks great ,beside of that, getting the painted one will relief you from the painting headache and fixing all the wood plates into their places. Eventhough it is more expensive to get the painted one yet it is worth it.

I have the Funkey pre-painted Hughes 500 D and it is BEAUTIFUL. The paint job was flawless. The only problem, I was going to fab a tail light to go on the horizintal fin and couldn't find a paint that matched. I didn't want to mess up that paint job, so I didn't do it.
Being able to customize, add additional detail is one (along with price) advantage of getting the unpainted model.

Thanks for the input. Looks like the Funkey pre-painted is the winner.

I totally agree with the above comments. The prepainted units from Century are stunning.

Just had my 50 size Funkey Airwolf arrive from Hongkong this morning.
How do they do it!
The quality is absolutely unbelievable - 100% perfect with serious attention to fine detail!
The packing of the kits parts is also something of an art in its self - wrapped in paper and polystyrene sheet and plastic bags in a custom made box.The fus fits in a foam lined card cut out inside of the box - great!
Get one,its a beauty and almost too nice to fly!

Any suggestions on where to get the funkey airwolf fusage? Also would a 500 size fit? or do I have to make some mod?

hello everyone,

Since FunKey are the same fuse as the ones Century distribute, could anyone tell me where i can purchase the funkey scale bodies from hongkong / far east? I have looked all over and cant seem to find a site where I can simply place an order for one.

Thanks

I got mine from Pivotal Hobbies in Canada:

www.pivotalhobbies.com (http://www.pivotalhobbies.com)

They are also the same fuselage that are sold by Hirobo at much higher prices.
