Hey guys I just bought a mini titan. For gear I'm using the equipment from my trex which is 3-HS65MG, Logictech 2100 gyro and tail servo, Aon motor, Electrifly ESC, Rotortech blades (fly as good or better than Radix IMO). 3 cell 2100mah Li-Po. Should be a fun little heli and I will post pics as soon as it comes in!

Hey guys I got it in today and I am really impressed with the quality of the kit. The frame is allot stiffer than that of the trex 450xl. Also the head is really smooth and I also have all metal mixing arms. Here are a couple pics of my roughly setup mini. I put it on the scale and its a real heavy weight at 29 and 3/4 ounces.

Make sure you setup your Logictech gyro in rate mode with no drift to the left or right.

It's really just a three step setup..

1: Prime your radio for the job. GEAR travel set at +64% -64%. RUDD travel set at +150% -150%.

2: Set your tail's mechanical center up. True mechanical center is where it hovers in rate mode (Non-HH // Gear switch down) with no drift.

3: Gyro setup: Set your servo speed to option 2. Set your Rotation rate to slowest, 1st LED. Set your sense direction. Set your limits. Exit setup. Turn off Heli. Turn down RUDD travel to +100% -100% and adjust until you're at the piro rate you want.

I just spooled up my new Mini Titan this afternoon and I'm impressed! I didn't have time to fly (too scared to just launch it in the air!) This thing is silent compared to my Blade CP. Thanks for posting the comment on setting up the gyro. I was wondering about where to put center on the servo.

I have used this gyro in 4 other birds but yeah thanks for the tip. I took it out for a test hover it was dark out so only hovered it plus I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to blow up since I didn't build it. It sure is quiet! I will wring her out tomorrow if the wind isn't going nuts.

Hi there,
I'm about to buy a new heli and was tossing up between the Trex 450Se and the mini titan 325. What's your thoughts??

If you want something very stable and easy to learn on, then the Mini-Titan is just what you need. Flies like a bigger heli. If your an expert, and want to do hard 3D, then maybe the Trex 450se might be better. Depends what you want.

The Mini T is a cracker for learning, just make sure you get the setup spot on and you'll get at least a couple of seconds hands off hovering.

I dont have mine setup for a beginner so I can't really comment on that. I got my first flight in and it flies really nice. Much smoother than my trex se. I also slammed it into the ground inverted when my ESC cut out and nothing broke, impressive for a plastic helicopter!

Thanks Guys!
Actually it will be my third heli.

I have the CX2 - Great to learn on
Then CP - not very happy with the quality or the parts cost

I can hover for a full battery but I'm still a learner on nose in hover.

Both my brother have the Trex 450, but the local store (i"m in Australia) is pushing me toward the mini titan.

Thought I'd ask some advice here!

I want to eventually go inverted, just to piss my brothers off :)

The Mini-Titan is so much easier to fly than a Blade CP.... Your going to be shocked.

You know after flying my Mini-Titan this past weekend, I wish I would of gotten it first instead of a Trex 450se. I would of made learning to hover and do foward flight sooo much easier!!

I'm really thinking in buying a smaller heli to improve my flying and practice more aggressive flying. Something more realistic than the sim but cheaper to fix than my bigger Raptors.
I was in the same boat as a lot of people (TRex vs. MT) but it seems like a lot of people are VERY happy with their MT's.
Some of the complaints I read seems to be with part availability, but it seems like Heliproz have them all.
And as far as head wobble/tracking it doesn't seem to be everybody's problem more like only few people has issues with this. I wonder if it is setup problems or flying styles more than model design.
Anyway, considering how long the parts last on my other Raptors (seems like gravity is a lot stronger here at the tropics:o) I'll be blinging it in a short time.
Now it's all about getting the money together and find out a good excuse to present to the missus.:YeaBaby:
Unfortunately I'll be traveling to the US next week, but I don't think I'll have enough time to convince her with this little time, well, I might need to wait until the next time...:dontknow

As far as tracking I have heard its fine unless you fold your blades back for transporting. I have metal Mixing arms upper and lower and I take loose the blade grip links when I fold the blades back and so far I have not had a problem with tracking.

Hello to all.

I have the stock mini titan, i am always folding the blades back for transporting, and never had tracking problem. As i have read when tracking problem, just add between dumpers and grips a little metal shim, or for more performance replace the mixing arms with alloy arms.

yeah no tracking problems with TT original blades at all. one set of align 325 pros i had minor tracking issue sometimes but quick circle with right thumb usually solves that.. or just crash those blades like i did and put new align 325's and no tracking issues anymore :)

now waiting my metal grips so i can get rid of those plastic spacers

Count me in as a new Mini Titan owner:) This will be my first CP heli after learning single rotor on a modified HBFP. No expectations of 3D just yet so I ordered a motor which I hope is a good compromise of power, and run time.

I ordered the following components, and I am currently flying a DX6i TX and have 3-AR6100e RX's already. Please critique my components and offer advice or opinion about what I have ordered. I'm all about learning so no offense taken if you don't agree with my choices :)

*Basic Plastic Version Mini-Titan
*Assorted Spare Parts
*Scorpion HK2216-12 Motor w/12T & 13T pinions
*Scorpion 45amp ESC
*SportBEC BEC
*GForce 11.1V 3S 2200mah 20c batts.
*Hitec HS-5000 Gyro w/HSG-5083 Tail Servo
*Hitec HS-65HB Cyclic Servos
*Align 325mm Pro Wood Main Blades w/TT-Spacers
*Assorted connectors

 That set up looks fine, I would probably go with HS65MG on the cyclic. The metal gears will take a bit more punishment

Good luck, Mark

Hi MX400,

Also a new TT owner. I also went to the road of an MX400 first that I crash a couple of time. I took all my stock from it (Servos, 2100T + digital servo) and install it in my TT that I fly with a 2 Kongpower 2200 Which are a bit to big to fit correctly in the canopy (but I manage...) I just love the stability of this bird. I an just in the hover learning process....

Hi I also just got a Mini Titan, what sort of flight times can I expect with a 2200mah 20C pack? It has the standard brushless motor and 40amp governed besc.

I am setting up some Blade 400's for aerial photography and am debating wheather it would also be viable with the Mini Titan as it is a bit on the heavy side... otherwise I will transfer the head onto a B400 and see how that flies.

Either way, I also have some evo 2500 superlite packs on the way, but would be great hearing your thoughts - btw dont mean to hijack your thread MX400!
