guys, i just started heli few weeks ago, now ok with flying tail-in with my honey bee king 2, but then i was thinking of getting a better tx. i was wondering if 7channel or 9channel would be good? do we need 9channel in EP? Thanks. i was thinking of getting JR9XII super synthersized with Futaba GY401. thanks. oh yah, also targeting CopterX. any help here?

I have a JR 2720 and find it more than sufficient for my trex450. It is fully syntheised also. It has three flight modes, gyro sensing program and 3 mixes which is all that you will need. The 2.4GHz ver is the Dx7. The 9ch allows more mixes and greater number of channels.

Both are good radios, it just depends on your budget and plans for rc in near future.

Only downside to the 7 channel is the lack of a flight timer.

So I ended up with a 9303 (9x2 to you) and never have looked back. It is a bit easier to program with more complete pitch/throttle/expo graphs, and uses a module so can do 2.4 GHz, and can handle a scale ship with various other things if I go that way.

Hi, I have 9xII and I am fully satisfied - only one thing, that i hate is ,that between flight modes, there is no throttle delay (only from autorotation), but may by, this is not important, when you fly EP. So, if you want this radio for 2-3 years at least go for it ( 9 channels are nice comfort, never know when you need it .) ). Display is big, menu is clear and easy to work with .... you have my full recommandation.
If you are not sure about time for use (forexample - you will use radio for half of the year and then you realize, that you need something better ... ) and you are using only one heli - then I recommend DX 7 ( 2,4 GHz is cool, system menu is also good and its safe .) ).
