The concept was to be a "mid" 450/600 The reality is, if you intend to use your trex 450 batteries, DONT! this will be a waist of time. NO head speed, less than 3 min flight time (gaui 1500 watt or century 600 plus) ... You will need to invest money in batteries you wont use in any other heli! say Evo 3200's @ 125.00 each x 2... Someone has miss-led us ALL. Fly your trex 600

I don't believe the Upgraded motors were ever meant to run on the T-rex packs. they are for the guys who really want something more. The stock motor combo does indeed fly good on Trex packs and the evo 2500 packs really work well. Mine stock Hurricane flies much better then my trex with the JGF450. the evo 2500 packs run $80 and they will also squeeze into my Trex!!

For general flying the T-rex batteries are just fine on mine. I have the stock motor and using 2 FP 2170 Evo 25 and getting 7+ minutes from them. I suppose it depends on what sort of flying you are doing.

I concur with digger60. Also running stock motor, 16 tooth pinion w/ 2x 2170 Evo 25's, w/ 470mm carbon blades and get 7+ minutes @ 2150 headspeed tached. Stock motor 14 tooth pinion, 10+ minutes @ 1800± headspeed. Flying hovering, and slow forward flight.

Yea.... who misslead you that putting on a higher power motor would mean you can run the smaller packs? I only get 4 minutes on my 2500ma 6S packs with the 1100KV motor. It's pretty well documented here what times the powered up guys are getting with certain packs.

HAHAHAHA I love these type of threads. He wants 600 size power on 400 size cells.
