How are these tanics working? I have some tanic 2150 for my t-rex they work just as good as my tp. But curious on how the 8800 would work on my ion.

well , I did see a set yesterday , my cousin Karl brought over his new packs , looks good , alittle heavy , but the Ion can handle it , yall , due to the weight of these packs and the snort they put out , set the pinion on the tight side , and also put a pitch curve to look like a expo curve , so the torque wont strip gears or break the motor shaft at the threads where it screws into the motor .
too , bad its 3 degrees outside , dang we have about 16 hours of daylight , put the kids down for sleep when its daylite , wake up when it light,
also , like the thank my cuosin Karl , " for my birthday" , he bought a spare JR 10SX2 for me so I can retire my old one to Reflex . way cool
even though we get along like 2 fleas on a fat dog. sometimes we fight like cats and dogs . we are as hardheaded as they come , well , hes more hardheaded than me

Gear mesh tight for sure! they are only a couple oz heavier NO BIG DEAL . I use a throttle curve of 100,95,90,95,100 and it works very well

well , a Ion just broke the shaft with a set of TPs , so these motors put out a pile of instant torque , that my guess is in the horsepower range of 4 for around 2 to 3 seconds at the most . MA might need to revise that part to handle 6 HP,

Hey Bobby , well I got the Ion ready to fly again , and flipped the switch that runs to the reg and then to the batteries , and nothing , unplugged the reg to check the voltage , 1.88 volts , unplugged the battery , 1.88 volts , hooked my nicd battery up , and the switch in on and works , so since these batteries are toast , my question is , with the batteries hooked to the reg , and the switch off , will run the battery down , HUH? didnt know that , and I still havent even flew the heli , man , what next , :? :arggg: :dontknow :bomb:

hey , well , I bumped them back up useing the tabs in nicd charge , wouldnt do it in lipo charge , it took about 3 to 4 minutes for each one to get around 3.3 volts , once there , I discharged the highest cell to match the other and put them on lipos 2 cell , once they get close to charge I will pull them off and top them off with the tab, and then discharge them and charge again as 2s. supprised me they came back , but it must have been the slow discharge that didnt hurt them . so you just leave the reg hooked to the rx and plug in the battery as you charge huh? I will do that too , so I dont forget to unplug the reg again
Tony
Thanks
