i'm realy fed up & cant seem to get any info because i just dont know what the hell i'm doing my problem is this?
i have a Dragonus II which came with a Futaba 6EXH ive had this from about Febuary this year & have had some fun with it i must admit ( i love it) but the other night i did the most stupid thing i have ever done apart walking home blind drunk & kicked the kerb fell over & woke at 8.30am in the middle of a path but that beside the point.
i was playing with the TX & was going to setup things so i could see how things where put into it like the end points & pitch & throttle curves, But hit the clear key & cleared my own settings off
and now i have spent the last 4days & night trying to sort out the settings.
is there anyone who has the Tx with this heli or Trex is close that could through me some settings i'm ok with the thottle curve & pitch it just the rest

my nearest Rc club is 20 miles away & have sent them emails but there website states fixed wing

so as you can see i'm stuck

Think of this as a chance to learn your heli and radio better. Watch the finless ccpm videos, he does a great job of going step by step. Another person's radio settings will only be a sloppy way of doing it, and may do more harm than good.

It takes a few times of doing the setup before it starts to click in and make sense. Its worth it in the end.

Here's the correct link to the vids you need:

CCPM #1 (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/trex450&filename=CCPM_Part_1.wmv)
CCPM #2 (http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=finless/trex450&filename=CCPM_Part_2.wmv)

They will sort you out, the Futaba 7 Tx in the film has almost exactly the same menu structure as your 6.

I was clueless as well when I got my Futaba, but I played with the settings and stuff until I figured it out. I also did a ton of reading on The Freak as well as other sites to learn what it all meant. I had a few near crashes, but in the end I am glad I went through the process. Not trying to say "learn it yourself", you'll just be a lot happier going through the process. Good luck...

Another valuable lesson I learned the other day was when I went to fly my Falcon with the transmitter still set on my Lama V3 model. It almost got real ugly, because the curves I am using for a fixed pitch coax heli are a bunch different than the Falcon. Lesson learned: Check to make sure the tx is set on the model you are flying.

MR. Owl,
I noticed you fly with a dx7.

Dennis,

It looks like you are close to Birmingham. PM DavidH here on HeliFreak and maybe he can hook you up with someone to help with the DX7. David puts on the Birmingham FunFly every March and knows a lot of pilots in the area.

I did the same thing you did a few months ago when I got my first heli. I watched all of the videos and figured is out, as stated in other replys, it is definately worth it. I learned a lot! Once I got everything back, I copied the settings to another model on the tx (backup) in case I did it again. Good Luck!

Hi,
I did the exact same thing with my 600 nitro pro I was sooo annoyed because I had just got it and it was my first nitro heli, I had to ring the person that originally set it up for me and got all his settings then once I had reprogrammed my dx7 and everything appeared to be working, I then took it out for a test flight and it worked great, but just in case I ever did it again I photographed every screen of settings and burnt a copy of all the settings to a disk. It doesn’t take 10 mins to do it but saves hours :)
