I am trying to document my next electric predator a little better than the last one. It is basically a put all the parts in and then cut out everything that is not needed. It is running a little behind schedual, but I am still trying to get it finished before Birmingham.

The Predator is intended for FAI competition, but could be used for any type flying.

Looking good  . I wish you the best of luck for your project.

Just out of curiousity, what problems did you have with your old e-max?. What areas are you going to have your new project improve on?.

Thanks. :)

The old version had the batteries on the bottom and it limited the space for the motor. The new setup will let me use better motor mounts. The frame around the batteries also made battery changes time consuming. This one will have externally mounted batteries. This version will have all carbon frames.

Here is the old one.

Going all carbon for the next project then. That's awesome. Should save some weight.

Nice one jwooten, please keep us updated. :)

That is great Jimmy ! Can't wait to see it fly. My Stinger 50 is ready to go, but can't seem to get the time to fly it. Was hoping to fly today, but my daughter is sick with the stomach flu and I haven't been able to get away from the house.

Have a great week !

The rules say I can't go over 42 volts (10s). Something with about 8000 mah. I have not ordered they yet. I will probably get that done in the next week.

Yeah I like :D . The jealousy kills me though .

I saw an Ion fly at my local club the other day. I've now fallen in love with electrics. I think the guy was running 8000mah TP's, not sure. Hopefully he will let me have a test fly this week  .

Good work. You are obvious better at cutting carbon than I am. We want the detail on this one.
