I have heard that when you remove the glow plug lead and the engine dies straight away that the problem is a faulty glow plug coil. I had this problem the other day and changed the glow plug for a brand new one. (no8 os50 hyper) this still didn't fix the problem and I was after some advice on what else it might be. Any information would be greatly appreciated.[/b]

Clay is talking about the small screw not the needle setting...

Yeah... you may be a little too rich on the low end. I assume by the top post this is always in idle right after you start the heli that it cuts off. What fuel % are you using?

When the rear bearing went on my 50, it wouldn't idle without the igniter on the plug.

IM USING 15% NITRO AND YES IT CUTS OUT AT IDLE BEFORE I HAVE A CHANCE TO BRING UP THE RPMS. i REALLY HOPE THAT ITS NOT THE REAR BEARING AS IT HAS ONLY HAD ABOUT 5 LITRES OF FUEL

PUT THROUGH IT. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

It is not the bearing or you have extreamly bad luck. Just lean the low end small screw that works like a cam a little. A little goes a long way so do it in small turns. If you can rev the motor up a little to clear it out, and it stays running you are too rich. Remeber richen that high side before leaning the low.
