I'm bummed out because I got moister bubbles in my paint really bad due to the humidity being so high. The paint job on my canopy looks like hell.:(

Hey, are you using a compressor ? or canned spray ? If compressor, do you have a water separator on your air line ?

Crash it and start over lol You almost have to consider a body disposable. I spent 2 weeks painting mine and that very same body is now held together by much fiberglass tape and ca. The next one will be a simple design. They crack, they chip, it happens, I would run it.

This was my show body.... I spray with cans. Last night after taping everything off and getting it perfect, the spray paint from the can came out cold and cause condinsation to get all in the paint job. Looks awful.

UPDATE*** I purchased a bottle of Testers Paint Thinner and used it with paper towels to remove the old paint. It worked great!!! It didn't melt the plastic and is as good as new. Just finished spraying a new coat and it looks wonderful. :banana

I actually paint my own stuff too. I haven't painted on the Mini-Titan canopy yet though. I always keep the canopy stock when I build a new kit. How well does the paint stick to the canopy? On my Raptor e550 canopy I painted, the paint chips really easy, even though I tried to sand it down lightly before painting.

I use Testers paint for models.... seems very tough. I've used it on other plastic stuff before and works great.

Ok this is step by step how I do it.
1. Cut out canopy
2. Wash with Rubbing Alcohol
3. Wipe down and remove any lint etc
4. Paint thin coat of Testers model car paint. (color of your choice)
5. Wait 10 - 15 minutes
6. Apply second coat a little thicker
7. Wait 10 - 15 minutes
8. Apply third coat normal thickness
9. Wait 30 minutes
10. Apply Testers Clear Lacquer very thin.
11. Wait 5 minutes
12. Apply Testers Clear Lacquer thin
13. Wait 10 minutes
14. Apply Testers Clear Lacquer normal thickness
15. Wait 10 - 15 minutes
16. Apply Testers Clear Lacquer normal thickness
17. Wait 10- 15 minutes
18. Apply Testers Clear Lacquer normal thickness
19. Let dry 48 hours
20. Apply decals and windshield
21. Optional..... Let it cure for 2 weeks.
NOTE*** Primer optional. I just don't use it because the testers paint sticks to plastic very well and have never had a problem with flaking etc etc. It's made for plastic!!
A little trick I do to make the windshield screws go in very easy. First tape the windshield in place. Then take a T-pin or needle and heat it to red hot with a candle. Poke a hole where you want the first screw. Put screw in. Repeat process. Makes easy work of something most people hate doing.
